Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
The guy before me didn't like it. I have them. I don't care much for them myself. That's why they are on the shelf. Anything else u don't like?

Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
Might have been a good car for Harrisburg no ? KP

Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
I thought about that Ken but I thought I waited to long to get a good run time and I really wasn't looking forward to his kid putting his hands on my shoulder telling me that was all my car was worth that day and I should drop the reserve.
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
That only happens when you have a reserve
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
There's absolutely no way I would ever run a car at auction with no reserve. I don't have those kind of balls. I'm not rich and I won't let someone steal my car because I got a bad run time.
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
You run a car at no reserve when you have a good run time at a good auction. The odds are you will at least get what your car is really worth.
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
And complimentary alcohol doesn't hurt either.

I think we all know what im talking about.
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
If it looks like it is getting short hammered it is usually because the auctioneer knows who the bidders are and when they are done. It doesn't benefit the auction to drop the hammer if they are still getting bids. Yes there are exceptions but for the most part they get all they can out of it.

Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
Dropping the price to 50k I have to sell one of my cars.

I had a chance to look at that car and it's very nice and rare car...
|
Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
Neat car. I remember a plumb car up here getting paint in early '90s I think and it was finished with the D96 stripes. Very sharp. Must be the same car. How many real Plumb Z24's with D96... about 1.

Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
Well I guess lowering the price brought out the buyers. Looks like the Royal Heiness has found a new care taker. Sale pending! Deposit taken.

Re: 1967 SS 427 Impala Real Z24 4 speed
You probably had to throw in your collection of autographed Sam Scardino photos to make the deal
