1966 Beaumont SD survivor - 29,000 original miles
Well, after pursuing it for three years, this 1966 Beaumont SD 396 survivor with original Aztec Bronze paint, matching L34 360 HP motor and drivetrain, H.D. 3-speed manual, posi rear, factory tach and AM radio finally found its way into my garage a few months ago.
Here is how it looked coming out of the original owner's garage many years ago http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...psd18818b9.jpg Here is how it looked when the second owner had it http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...ps2289c52b.jpg and here is how it looks on my driveway. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...psfa2b2dc4.jpg I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas season, and I wish you all the best that the new year has to offer. Cheers! |

No thread is complete without a few under-the-hood shots...
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...psfe8cd650.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...ps94cdf260.jpg Needs a set of original plug wires, battery cables, upper rad hose and hose clamps, etc., but not much more than that! |

WW Helmut and BIG congrats!!! Quite the option list, is this what you were seeking the 3-Spd. shifter for a couple mo's back? Thanks for the under hood shots also those redlines really pop w/ the paint color! Happy New Year! ~ Pete |

WOW, that could be the brother to my friends car from 20 years ago. SB SD same color with black deluxe interior. His has a 4 speed and I think a 12 bolt.
Took out the 283 and swapped in a Super Stock 350 and 12 w/4.56's out of his Cutlass he had. Car was pretty quick. Sold it and the new owner tamed the motor down some changing cams, put in 3.55 gears (?) and putting on a '66 BB style hood. Looked good with 15 x 8 and 15 x 4 polished centerlines. |

Gotta love that Photoshop
As much as I appreciate the originality of the redline/wheel cover combo.....those mags and Radial T/A's look absolutely awesome!!!! Beautiful car |
Re: 1966 Beaumont SD survivor - 29,000 original miles
I agree on the torque thrusts! I just find it difficult to put day 2 items on such an original unmolested car.
The only add-on is a set of under dash gages (which I'll keep)... and a few minor details under the hood which I intend to put back to original. Oh, and I may take off that bumper sticker... http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...ps92515caf.jpg |
