H70-15 Wide Oval tire question

I have a 1969 Lemans with 15"x7" Rally two's. Wondering about tires for these wheels. I want Wide Ovals on my car. A guy on Craigslist has a set of four H70-15 that have less than 200 miles, near new for $200. Would they look good all the way around or just on the rear, then get F or G 70's for front. Any comments, and pics of cars with H70's in rear. Please help, thanks, Troy

Those tires are really too big for that car. Especially on the front.

X2...F-70 in front will be perfect for that car.

H is the height. 70 is the width. You can run H-70's all around, especially if you can get a set for $200! I would jump on them

Vice versa-- Letters were replaced by mm for width and the 60/70 are the side profile (percentage of the tread coverage of the sidewall).

L60 and F60-15 are a great big and little combo for a rake. L60 and F70-15's are close to level. G60-15 aqnd E60-15 are the tire setup used on the AAR 'Cuda and the T/A Challenger.

You won't even be able to turn the wheel without it hitting the fenderwell. Unless it sits like a 4 wheel drive.

I like thinner up front.
I like 70 series in the front and H70 or L60's in the back.
E70's up front and L60's in the rear. H70's are nice to but only in the back.
JMO!

I think we just need a pic of what these H70 look like for reference. Anybody have a pic of H70 on any muscle car? It's overdue in the thread.
