Re: What's it worth. D70-14
Not much. Ill paypal you a couple bucks and you can ship it out to me..
Seriously though if I were to give a guesstimate. $450 with the rim |
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
$600 for the valve cap and then just thrown in the tire/wheel for free.
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
a DG is about $150, not sure on the tire....original not fluffed? defiantly worth a few bucks....ping me if you get stupid offers, it may be a good fit for the 67
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
None of it is fluffed. Orig. tire that is only missing the nubs, no cracking.
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
Is that off a '67 Nova with disc brakes ?
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
A question for our resident 67novaboy here on the Site.

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
WOW....
OK. WHAT'S THE D70 Tire & wheel worth ? is it a Camaro or ???? tire? |
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
With the Sam Scardino Valve cap special on there and Red line...I'm gonna say $300- $450
Good spare size...now if an F70 X 14 then more popular size. Maybe GTO Don can shed some light on the tire and rim value... Dave 67 Nova Boy |

If Sam put this tire on his Z28...well it would not be worth much when he got done with it!

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
'67 Camaro disc brake wheel with original D70 redline. $100 for the valve cap according to the valve cap ad in the parts classifieds. DG wheel worth 50-100. Original '67 style redline with the redline out farther on the whitewall than a Coker redline. You'd think a SS350/396 with discs owner would want it for $150-ish? (Mine's a drum brake car, otherwise it'd make a great spare.)

I have to disagree with the XA rally wheel info. 3901325 was changed to 3918077 and clearly shows XA as a disc brake application. The only non disc brake rally wheel made was the XN. I have provided pictures form parts books to support my claims. I will get a picture of the earlier catalog soon.

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
That tire & wheel combo is for the 67 camaro SS with disc brakes. The repop tire stripe is incorrect and located in a different position. That is very valuable to anyone owning a survivor car. In fact at MCACN we had a 67 IPC in the vintage display sporting 4 original D 70 14 redlines just like this one. I'd say the tire is worth $1000ish, plus wheel and valve cap.
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
I've got a pair of those wheels. They are definitely a "different" looking wheel compared to '98-up rallys. The differences are pretty obvious when you put them side-by-side with a '68 14x6 wheel.

Brian </div></div> The "XA" rim IS a disc brake rim...just not on any 67/68 4 piston caliper factory set-up. 69 single caliper will work factory Disc but not 4-piston. There is no room for the caliper as in the "DA" rim. It kind of bulges out to fit the calipers. I had the "XA" rims at one time but sold them with letting them know what they will work with. MY 67 Nova SS was one of the 565 sets or cars made with factory Disc brakes but were taken off in the 70's due to leaking calipers. Took me 15 years to find the M/C then I found three...go figure. The D70 tire/rim/cap is a great find and like said.. great spare for a survivor car. Dave 67 Nova Boy |

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
750.00 is the right price for that tire and wheel.

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
I would be proud to display it in the trunk of my 67 RS/SS! With a placard stating "on loan from Charley Lillard"

What's your "reserve" on this newly appraised carrot ? 5% appraisal fee to about 5 members each still puts you 25% above Dons' Value......Net/Net |

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
Just curious do you know the trim tag date and plant the this camaro wheel and tire came from?
The reason I ask is: I have a 90% original 67 camaro Los L35 TT 02B with an original firestone D70. The DG stamp is on the right side of valve stem hole and it has the schrader valve stem cap. Then I have a fairly original 67 camaro Nor L48 TT 03B with an original goodyear D70. The DG stamp is on the LEFT side of valve stem hole and it has the schrader valve stem cap. Then I have a 67 camaro Los L78 TT 05C that still has original wheel and tire in trunk. The tire is a goodyear D70 with same date code as the goodyear in my Nor L48 car but the DG stamp is on the right side same as the los L35 car. |
Re: What's it worth. D70-14

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
How about a NOS spare, never on the car, 69Z28 Sportscar 200 on a YH Rally
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
Probably a bit more....
|
Re: What's it worth. D70-14
My YH /Firestone spare was seperated from the car before I got it about 4 years ago. Never used and sold for $500 on ebay if I remember right. I would have paid more than that for it. A member here got it. I talked to the seller before I knew what happened and he said he never saw it. Nice guy. This site is how I figured out where it went. When the car first appeared on ebay it was discussed and someone commented they tried to buy the spare and seller wouldn't seperate. So I knew it was there and next guy was the guilty party. I tried to buy it recently and no luck

Re: What's it worth. D70-14
Soooo, you are saying I can't have it?
