Anyone from Palestine, TX in 1969-71 timeframe?

Just got my TX DOT info on my A12 Road Runner! The info I have says it was from Palestine, TX new. I have a name and address but get nothing from the search of it.

Quite possibly came out of Moore Motor Co in Palestine.

Re: Anyone from Palestine, TX in 1969-71 timeframe?

Info from TX shows 07/08/69 First National Bank.
License plate issued 08/15/69 and from what I can tell same plate remained until '71. In '71 it came to PA and has been here since. At some point between 8/15/69 & 8/31/71 though it went with the TX owner to Sam Houston State.

Just e-mailed a guy I found in Palestine with the same first initial and last name who looks to be the right age by his picture on the internet. Praying I make a connection!

Just talked with him! He bought it new off the showroom floor in Houston. Thought it was River Oakes C/P. It was sitting next to an identical Hemi RR! After going to Sam Houston State he moved to PA which is how it got here. Heard a few stories so far. He is back in PA this week and he & his son want to come see it. Can't wait!

And my sons as both have driven it a little (dang little) so far. He says it was a rippin snortin RR. Use to give 6 lengths to 440 Magnum Chargers and beat them by 3 (that's his story and he's stickin to it). He blew up the original 440 and it was down for 2 months while working on getting warranty. He bought it while still in high school at the age of 17.

One of the better things to happen is finding the elusive original owner.
Big congrats!

Re-united after 43 years!

Stan and his son Joe showed up around 2pm today. I asked him if he slept much since talking yesterday. Said he hadn't! Joe wasn't even a thought when Stan last saw the car so Joe only ever had stories until today. I think he'll have a smile on his face bigger than all of TX for a few days. It was almost 43 years to the day since Stan watched it leave on a hook.
