1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green #160
1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed, Citrus Green #160
Based on the info provided by the Yenko Deuce Registry, Marlin Spotts; Out of approx 175, 1970 Yenko Deuce LT1 COPOs sold by Yenko Sports Cars Inc. less than 100 are registered and accounted for. Of those it is estimated that only 10 were built in Citrus Green and only one of those had power steering and a 4 speed. (This is that Deuce). It is believed to have been Sold new from Sam Leman Chevrolet om Roanoke, Illinois. We have the car documented back to the 1980s, when Jerry Janota, purchased the car from whom we believe were the second owners. It was frame off restored approx 9-10 years ago and was driven on the power tour in 2005. Based on the history of the car as we know it and Jerry's verification that he bought the car with the original drivetrain, we believe the car to have the original, engine, original trans as well as original rear end housing. Price is $139,500.00 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...s_deuce_14.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...s_deuce_27.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...s_deuce_28.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...s_deuce_33.jpg |

Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
Does anybody have any pictures of the Sam Leman dealership in Roanoke IL? Roanoke is a small farming town of less than 2K people in central IL. My grandmother lived there for 30+ years so I am quite familiar with it. My cousin's husband worked at Sam Leman in the mid 80's to early 90's, but by that time they had moved to I believe Washington IL. I just Googled them and they still have 7 dealerships in central IL. It looks like they sold at least 4 Yenko Deuces according to the registry.

Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
There were two Citrus 4 speeds, a Red and Yellow one from Sam Leman.
All the Citrus Deuces were in the last batch order of 50 Cars and built at Hurst. |

Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
All, this is the fifth car I have purchase either directly from Stefano or with his assistance, and I have sold 4 cars utilizing his services.
Not only has Stefano represented the cars accurately every time, handled all paperwork professionally and communicated timely on each and every deal, I am happy to say he has also become a friend. I love this hobby, however there are a lot of times when it can be frustrating and irritating dealing with a few people out there when buying or selling a car. I am very happy to say that Stefano makes it fun and exciting; he truly cares about the hobby and your experience. Thank you Stefano……….and Beth……….. I know you are the real brains of the team |

Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
Hello all:
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...nko_cg_del.jpg Kenny with driver https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0_yenko_cg.jpg Car at Mascar / Classic Resto-Mod We received the car today and as usual, Stefano exceeds my expectations, he always undersells the condition of the car and over delivers. The paint and finish on the car is wonderful, there are a few things that will have to be done to the car to take it to the next level. After we return from the MCACN event we will pull the driveline out of the car and Kenny Maisano will completely rebuild and blueprint the motor and trans, we will also remove the body from the frame and completely detail and fix a few items that are not up to our standards. This car will be totally fine-tuned and any and all items that need to be rebuilt or addressed in order to make this a perfect example of a stock Deuce Nova will be done. Thank you Stefano, I will be posting pictures of this car as we begin the work. |

Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
Well let me give you all an update on the Citrus Green Deuce Nova …. So much for waiting …. The car, although nice, just was not up to Kenny’s standards to bring to the Muscle Car Nationals in 2015 so, Kenny, Adam and the gang did this … Full restoration under way, almost done, will be completed by April 1st, driveling completely rebuilt, Kenny verified all numbers and did a complete rebuild and blueprint of the motor and trans, everything being rebuilt and brought up to #1 standards with special expert input from Ken Schoenthaler. Paint is being redone, all parts restored and some items that were not 100% original corrected. Will post more pictures and updates soon. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_3605.jpg

Might I suggest moving this out of the Cars For Sale section into its own resto thread?

Thanks -- TAZ |
Re: 1970 Yenko Deuce 4 speed Citrus Green
That's impressive. You spent 140K (or whatever) to buy it and then frame-offed it. Nice to see that kind of dedication.

It was a very nice car and Stefano (as usual) described the car accurately, however, it just was not up to the Standards we are trying to present these great cars at. We have been blessed to get invaluable help from several people, Ken and his son at (Duece Haven) Stefano, Marlin, 427 King (Chuck) Brian, etc. I have been in this hobby a while, and I left it several years ago because of all the Negative things that go on at shows, and other websites. My friendship with Kenny and Adam brought me back to the hobby, and Stefano, Charlie and our presence on this site and our visit to the 2014 Muscle Car Nationals have been so very rewarding, we are out of the shadows a bit and having a great time being a part of the Hobby and all the great people on this site, Cheers to you all.
