The Chevelle sure took a beating, nice car before it ended up in the ditch.

Great peek into our wild past. That red '67 blower and it's driver are just waaaaaaaaay too squirrely.

..oops and now I see he crashed it.

I give the crazy award for the 3 wheeler. I tried that back then and ended up with 4 more feet of scars after going through a barbed wire fence. I would give the dumb ass trophy to the blown chevelle driver, while the 69 charger has to wait for the dumb ass award until the next owner totals it.

I would nominate all of them for the dumbass awards ...

Any idea when and where?
Looks like late 70's.
One of the comments indicates Port Alberni (British Columbia).

I did like the way the vacationers and/or commuters
would pull off and wait for the cars to finish before
proceeding.

The Canadian drivers are so nice; I remember when visiting
several times to Alberta & Saskatchewan, and if I was going faster then
the car I was following they would immediately pull to the shoulder
to let you pass. I thought that it should be the same way in Montana
since we had no listed speed limit. (Prudent & Proper)

Cool old vid !!!!!

But that is nothing compared to Front Street and/or in front of JFK Stadium in Philly back in the 80's. There would be atleast a few hundred cars every Friday and Saturday night !!! Anyone else remember those days? I wish I had some video of all the 'spectators' in the street all looking at the start and when the cars took off, everyone spread out to let them pass. I saw more than one wreck there unfortunately. I really dangerous scene now that I think about it. I still cant believe the cops let that happen so long back then. Old memories !!!

Oh yea. Lived it.. Also racing with my buddy in his 70 orbit orange RA IV judge on Decatur and the meadows in the late 70's. Also Southampton road and state road in the NE too. It all ended when F&F came out

Love how most of the cars hesitate and stutter and can't light the tires without some gas poured on them or some guys lifting the car in back! AAAND he stuffed the Chevelle into the ditch!

Today we rag on kids with Ricers. We were no smarter!

John, you mean Born with ? maybe ?
There are "matching numbers" cars everywhere today that back then had lost there engines & trans to attrition.....
personally, I don't believe "most matching number cars" Do Really Match, but they believe they do.....and the guys that built them, said so.....
I'm a firm believer that only 10-12% of muscle cars have truly matching/ born with numbers.....jmo
