1969 RS Z/28
1969 Z/28 Camaro
I will start here to make it easy for the ALL numbers guys to stop reading if they want. NON X code, NO paperwork. NOM but dated correctly block. Now that is out of the way Matching trans and rear, carb, radiator tanks, frame mounts, non dripper valve covers, air cleaner lid and base and throttle rod. 2 repaints (Fathom Green) last done in 2001 by me. Currently has a 4:56 gear and an M20 box. Runs and drives great! Original trans and original 4:10 ring and pinion goes with the car. Endura bumper "original" with "original" load rest dated for 1968. Car has its AD rally wheels. Original DG interior except for carpet and dash pad. Do not believe it was ever frame offed so no rattles or any other repop problems one may have. Original sheetmetal with NOS quarters done some time in the 80's. Original flat hood car with a 7,000 rpm tach and a short spoiler. Car is real clean and straight and runs very well. Its Day-2 and can be changed back from the bolt on stuff in a day or so. Has a "BY BERGER emblem on the back but to no avail I can not get any history. I bought the car in 2000 and the guy that had it before bought it in 1991 and that emblem was on it when he bought it. Its turn key. Get in and have some fun. Its actually a real decent car that you can drive and win some shows with. Had it at MCACN with the Z/28 display a few years back and won a boulevard gold. Many on the Site have seen it. Darren X33, GTO DON, BBBenny, 67novaboy Dave, L78 Fred, Brent, Plowman Paul, Bruce (Bergey) to mention a few. Go to Day 2 on the Site and then to Day Two Parts Discussion then to page 33 for a few pictures. $49,000. call for more details (215)723-1600 Thanks, Sam |

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Have you checked for the DG3 that may be in crayon from the factory on the passenger seat bulkhead just under the package tray? Many of the pre X code cars still have the crayon X codes. Good luck

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
have date correct distributor and alternator both restored for extra money. Have an original shifter with a lot of original parts and some parts from Heartbeat City.
Have other parts that we can talk about if someone is serious. Oh the wheels....depends on if I like you or not and the mood I am in. |
Re: 1969 RS Z/28

Smokin' ride, GLWS. The look with the Cragars is awesome.
|
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Personally I like the cragars.
I just couldn't find a deal on a vintage set when I was looking for tires and wheels. Great car Sammy. Best of luck with the sale. |

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
sammmmmy - is that a black top or a dark green?
|
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Beautiful car Sammy...good luck with the sale!
|
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Black top Ed. It does not show vinyl top on the trim tag BUT there are spot welded studs all around the roof line. I do not think if the top was dealer installed they spot welded the little studs/tabs on. Do not think it is an original top but had to be done very early. I had the car since 2000 the other 2 guys had it since 1991 that I know and that is the same top.

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
C'mon Eddie, snap it up you won't be disappointed. It's a killer car and I'm surprised he's selling it that cheap.
|
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
I agree Eddie. I think I am going to a wedding in MD in early Nov. How about I stop by and see Sammy, pick up the car and drive it to OKC. I PROMISE I will take good car of it until MCACN. You can then come through OKC on your way to MCACN, pick it up, take it to the show, and show it off.
I will do it for free.... if you will buy the gas. I won't go over 70 (should be a 4k on the tach with those 4.56 gears) so you know it will get great gas mileage. Whaddaya say Eddie. Can we? Please? |
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Its to fast for Fast Eddie, Lynn. Thanks for the compliments Donny!

Re: 1969 RS Z/28

I agree. You won't find anything remotely close for that kind of money. My heart hopes it doesn't sell. I think Sammy's the perfect owner for that car. But if it goes that price is a bargain for what you get. |
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Looks like a REAL nice car! Love the look and stance with the Cragars. Always been a big fan of the 69 with the RS package.Just never been a fan of green. : (

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Green is the new black
|
Re: 1969 RS Z/28
This has got to be the cleanest regularly driven Z on the east coast. You'd think it was a trailer queen but it surely doesn't drive like one.

Re: 1969 RS Z/28

Re: 1969 RS Z/28
Yea but this one you can actually drive and have some fun. NO lawn ornament.
Take it to cars and coffee, Pavilions, local car shows etc. How about breakfast with the Mockingbird? |
