RS COPO Restoration
I have a few old and new pics of our latest project...purchased from Eric...here on the site. He had owned the car since approx 1985. It's a work in progress. Many parts have been gathered from some great members(friends) of this site. It's people like you guys that make the hobby fun. The goal is to have it judged at The Camaro Nationals in Maryland...Legends Class https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5112-image.jpg

Re: RS COPO Restoration
That's really nice. How many RS COPOs are known to exist today?
Not to sidetrack the post, but do you guys know what happened to the RS COPO that was for sale on the Detroit Craigslist last September? It sold before I was able to look at it. |
Re: RS COPO Restoration
Eric I sent you a PM

Re: RS COPO Restoration
Tony , I spoke to Kurt S. and he has a total of 26 in his database thus far.

Re: RS COPO Restoration
Thanks Doug, that's even more than I expected.
If anyone knows about the Detroit Craigslist RS COPO, I'd be curious to know what happened to it. |
Re: RS COPO Restoration
I seem to recall it was discussed on this site and turned out to be a scam.

Berger ordered a number of RS Copos Daytona Yellow, Garnet Red, Dk Green, among others, then a couple of Hugger Orange RS copos have been found, however I love the Lemans Blue with endura. AWESOME!

Re: RS COPO Restoration
Is this a Frost Motors car? This combination should look really nice when it's done.
|
Re: RS COPO Restoration
doug - it is going to be a killer car.....nice
|
Re: RS COPO Restoration
Endura front bumper compliments an RS front end so nicely!
|
Re: RS COPO Restoration
I believe this car was from Frost. It will be done right, just like all of Doug's cars.
Doug is very selective about his choice of friends. He also knows how to network like few people can ever hope to. Looking forward to seeing this car done. Andy |

Thanks guys for the kind words and encouragement. Since Andy lives here in Columbus we on occasions talk cars and parts treasures. I hope to have the car finished by early spring . Yes it is a Frost Motors car ....per the research with Eric I think they sold as many as 6 RS COPOS...he has put in a lot more research than I have . Tom the Reunion was a blast....thank you for all your families hard work. 4 speed and wheels up with friends always gets me to smiling. Great coverage too.
