I'm goin day 2 with my original paint triple black L78 nova,I got 15x7 rear with H70 tires,what biasply would fit well on front ?

I have run H70/15's on the back of our 70 L78 Nova...with a 4" wheel on the front you will need the correct tire...the link above might work well.

Here is a link to Coker Tire and the Pro Trac line. They offer two front runner sizes. Not sure if the 560 would be big enough to fill out the Nova opening, but it's the one they recommend for your rim size.

On a side note: The picture in their ad on the 560 page, of the Pro Tracs mounted on the Cragar S/S rims, are my Vega wheels and tires.

I ran 6.00 x 15 on a set of 15x4 Fenton slots. Granted this was on a 66, but it was about the bare minimum I would recommend to fill out the wheel wells.

I'm in a similar situation as the OP. What do you guys think of current M&H skinnies in 27 x 4.5 - 15?

Another one under consideration is the Coker US Royal 670-15. At 27.5" tall, they're slightly taller than the M&H J60-15 Muscle Car Drag tires I'm planning to put on the rear. They also look more like what Da Grump had on his Nova. What think ye?

IMO the tires in the pic above are too tall for a first Gen. Those look to be 7.75-15 or similar. I think the 6.00-15 looks more appropriate.

I understand the rollout advantage of a taller tire, but I'm also trying to put together a sharp looking car. My rears are going to be 27.2" tall, and I don't think it would look very good to have front tires that are noticeably taller than the rears. Moroso 7.10-15s (about 27.7" tall) look good on some cars, but those cars probably have 29" tall slicks on the back. I currently have 26" tall tires on the front, and I know I don't want to go smaller. My Nova is inexplicably heavy - close to 2000lbs on the nose with me in it, so the tires have to have a pretty good load rating. The US Royals and the M&Hs both have good load ratings and are about the right size. As a racer, the obvious choice is... the Hoosier 18106. It's the right size AND it's cheaper and lighter, but it really doesn't look right. The question is which tire has the better balance between looks and performance, the M&H or the US Royal? Do I dare go 118+ mph on the latter?

I'd go with the Royals. Pure Stock and FAST guys are running 130 on Cokers and Kelseys.
