REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Here is an original Reedman dealership emblem made from pot metal. It has the usual tiny pitting in the emblem and needs restoring. This emblem uses the two-sided tape for adhesion to your tail panel or trunk lid. Reedman dealership RT. 1 in Langhorne, Pa. sold many Supercars in their heyday. If you own a Supercar or any car originally purchased at Reedman's and are missing the dealer badge maybe this one's for you. *Asking $55 w/shipping included to lower 48 states. PM me with any questions.

Sal. Isn't this emblem for 1970 and later? Maybe somebody knows for sure?

Here's a thread we had here before showing the different style Reedman emblems... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...2&page=all ~ Pete |
Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
That emblem is from the late 70's thru the early 90's. They made them in gold and silver. The early ones have studs on the back and they are open face letters.

Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Here's the one on my '62 that I purchased in July '68. It's attached with pal nuts on the two posts. I have two more brand new ones but the posts were removed from the mold and they used sticky tape.

Vern

Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Fred,
I'll have to go out and measure it and get back to you. I wasn't trying to jump on someone else's thread with something for sale. I just wanted to help identify the style and time period. Verne |
Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Fred,
IT was tough getting up in there to measure, but the posts are 4-1/2" apart. Here's a better photo of the emblem they put on the car in 1968. Verne https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...lem_68_003.jpg |

Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Verne/Paul,
Thank you very much for the outstanding photos and measurements. Greatly appreciated! Fred |
Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
His and my measurements differ. I don't know what emblem was in those 4-1/4" holes. Mine are definately 4-1/2" separation.
The emblem I posted is the SAME emblem that Reedman put on the car in July '68. I've never replaced it (just took care of it, along with the rest of the car). Just trying to help. By the way, Reedman broke off the original Laffin Chevrolet emblem that was attached to the middle of the trunk molding. Laffin drilled holes right through the machine turned trunk panel (worth $1200. today). My panel has the broken studs still there in the original piece. WHAT were they thinking?!?!?!? Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
I don't know what to say about that. That green deck lid is my sister's 1969 Nova. It is original paint and originally sold at Reedman. If you look at the imagein high resolution you can read the emblem from the difference in paint fade.
I think we lost the emblem, but did collect another one (seen on the wooden crate in the link). I'll check if it fits next week. |
Re: REEDMAN Dealership Tail panel/Trunk Lid Emblem
Maybe there was a change between '68 & '69?
