I have a nice pair of 3964290 BBC heads for sale.

The dates are F.20.9 and G.1.9

They are unmolested with no porting and stock valve sizes.

They come as shown, valves/springs, 3/8" guide plates and 7/16" rocker studs.

$300 OBO for the pair plus shipping. Canada might be difficult to ship to but I can look into it if needed.

I can have them baked and pressure tested if the buyer wants it for an additional cost. If the heads are junk, I will pay the pressure testing charge.

The 290 castings are a great platform to build with. The combustion chamber is kind of a &quot;semi-open chamber&quot;...those heads with a set of 2.19/1.88 valves, some mild porting and blending and a good performance valve job can really perform. Thanks Tom. Yes, they are a great oval port head for multiple reasons.

I figured that at the price I'm asking, they would be gone by now. Especially unmolested heads.

They're perfect a late 1969 or early 1970 motor. Maybe a little early for a 454. Although I'm not sure when they started producing them.

Anyway, I'm willing to sell just the bare heads if someone wants.

Kurt, according to Colvin's book these heads were used on the later 396 and 427 engines in 1969 and on the 402 and 454 for 1970. While the dates may be a little early for the 454...they are close. I'm sure some of the guys over at TC could tell you the exact day and time they were first bolted on a 454 [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img]
