Re: Helen Gibb
Met Helen at the second Gibb reunion, where I soon learned just how special a woman she was. She welcomed me and my family into her extended family, which meant a lot to us.
A true ambassador for Gibb Chevrolet, and our hobby as a whole, she was truly the "first lady of supercars". Watching Helen smile and laugh, visiting with folks, young and old (for hours) at the various shows was always a treat for me and will be missed. RIP Helen, and our thoughts and prayers to the Gibb family. |

Re: Helen Gibb
Karen and I send our thoughts to Nancy and the family...Helen was truly the First Lady of Chevrolet in my book. She will be missed by family and friends and from many who only knew of the name Gibb through car shows and magazines. My fondest memories are those impromptu birthday parties we had a couple of times at the US30 York Show...she was like a kid with her cake!

Re: Helen Gibb
So many happy times with Helen and the girls. It was such a treat to go back to LaHarpe each year and see all the smiling faces that greeted us as we arrived.
The memories with Dennis Hartweg, Barnhart, Howie, and Boje at Helen's house after the '02 ZL-1 deliveries, ........ days and evenings spent with the Gibbs after the LaHarpe & Monmouth events, ......... the Supercar Reunions and MCACN, ........... And all the fantastic people we've met through our associations over the years, ...... too many to list for fear of missing someone. Times are changing, but we hold onto the GREAT memories. Thank You Helen, for being a friend to all of us. God Bless you. |
Re: Helen Gibb

Re: Helen Gibb
My condolences go out to the Gibb family.
I was at Vette Fest in 2007. Helen was there with their Blue 1968 Gibb Nova. I was in awe as I had a '68 Nova at the time and was drooling over it. One of her daughters came up and said "my mom said you can sit in the car if you want". It is something that I'll NEVER forget. Nothing but class in that family. God speed Helen.
