Love the GN's but would prefer mine without the T-tops.

Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
Interesting that the person who ordered it did not get power windows or locks but most everything else.
These are really nice driving and well performing cars for what they are. Jake |
Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
seen this car in person at the Atlantic city car auction in Feb. Besides a few minor issues its perfectly mint. The bidding went to 28k or so if I recall. Rare car too. No pw or PL or power seat, but with T tops..

Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
My brother sent me a photo of this car from the A/C auction ... looked really clean.. I am anti T-top as well ...but would own this car for the sheer fact it only has 2,200 miles

Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
It may or may not be the same car, and I know the owner sells at A/C, but last night at Manheim a 1987 GN sold for north of $30,000.00

Nice GN.All original except for intercooler hoses.Hard to find original Eagle GTs.Don't get caught in the rain with those on.Too bad for the T tops. They allow a lot more noise then non T tops.Never take them off.Killer GN though.

Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
I don't understand the dislike of T-tops, as a matter of fact I would NOT buy one of these cars WITHOUT T's. I have an 88 Monte Carlo SS on par condition wise as this car and on a 12K mile car like mine, all original, it's still tight, no rattles, etc. with the T's. They make the car SO much more fun to drive.

For me it's just a matter of preference; I am not a t-top, sunroof or convertible guy. To each his own as they say. |
Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
Didn't the GN's have the serial number on the dash right the glove compartment? If so what year was that done?

That was only the 547 1987 GNX's. |

Re: 1987 Grand National with 2,200 miles
Are you sure?Do you have a link?I'd be really surprised to see them reproduce a tire in such an odd size.
