DX1 Stripe
Was the DX1 stripe a special order thing? It seems like I rarely ever see one, even online. I always liked it.

Re: DX1 Stripe
Knothing special, just not ordered much. I have only seen it a few times on OE paint cars.

Re: DX1 Stripe
My 69 had it on it. Base sport coupe X11. I didn't add it back when it was repainted in the early 90's. Wish I would have.

Re: DX1 Stripe
Always liked that stripe option also but never see it in person and hardly in print.

Re: DX1 Stripe
I think that stripe wasn't available on the SS, correct?
|
Re: DX1 Stripe
correct
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...2&page=all http://www.camaros.org/images/pages/ext/DX1_stripe.jpg The White book shows RPO DX1 had 20,479 ordered, nearly one in 10 cars ... I think that number is high, but I do not know for CERTAIN, I just don't remember seeing one in 10 "back in the day" (based on the total 69 Camaro production run of nearly 1/4 million cars) |
Re: DX1 Stripe
Here is a Day-2 car I did a few years ago with DX-1 stripe. Got rid of Z/28 stripes as the DZ302 was long gone.

Re: DX1 Stripe
Are the hood stripes wide enough on the car above?
I thought they were wider with a pinstripe outline, like this: http://www.69pace.com/images/Paint/1...lack/dx1_a.jpg Rich |
Re: DX1 Stripe
I added the cowl hood and DX1 stripe to this RS Covertible I restored about 10yrs ago. I liked the result, so did Shannon.

I might have to put a DX1 stripe on me |
Re: DX1 Stripe
DX1 stripe has always looked tuff to me! It's greatly overlooked these days and I think would look very cool combined with a Cowl Induction hood. I wouldn't even care if it's a non- factory combination!

Re: DX1 Stripe
I have some more pics of the white car if you want to see some different angles/perspectives

Re: DX1 Stripe
I remember seeing quite a few back in the day.I don't think the hood stripes were that wide.I could be wrong. To me it always signified a low powered car. They looked good though.

Re: DX1 Stripe
Well here's a few more pics from different angles so you can appreciate how the DX-1 stripe appears, I will keep it PG.
