1970 duece nova and bumper guards
can any one tell me if 1970 yenko dueces came with front or rear bumper guards on them
and if this would be incorrect for restoration thank you regards chris |
Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
I don't believe b guards were ever placed on the cars as part of the conversion by Yenko or Hurst, but they could be ordered as a dealer/customer add on.

Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
Did not have them on mine ... TAZ

Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
No, not standard, nor listed on the Yenko option sheet that I've seen.
Please explain the 70 Citrus COPO Nova that is not a Yenko deuce. |
Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
i have the 1970 citrus green thorstad duece i bought out of WI early this year. i sent pics of my yenko duece to the syc site along with my 1963 split window gasser raced by jeff hefler
i also numerous years ago bought a 1970 LT1 copo citrus green duece originally from central chevrolet canada ....bench seat/ radio delete/rubber matt/ 410 gear.....and you are correct this is not a yenko car |
Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
<span style="font-style: italic">"...and you are correct this is not a yenko car"</span> Are you saying that it is a COPO Nova?

Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
You're talkin' the brother to Copo Pete's car, both sold at Central and the only two Yenko didn't get.
It's long confirmed as scrapped isn't it, you sayin' you had it at one time or it still exists? ~ Pete |
Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
The scrapped Central car from Canada was Forest Green I believe. They ordered 10, only got 2'ish - could be a few more

Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
News to me if there were others, looking forward to hearing more about the CG Central car!
Any Vins may be on the same GM Canada microfilm page as Copo Pete's car, did he get a copy of this page before Geo. and Frank stopped sending them out? ~ Pete |
Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
I was thinking astro blue, but it could have been FG. Mr. Madden, please give us the scoop on the car. This appears to be a new to us discovery.

Re: 1970 duece nova and bumper guards
I've heard of astro blue as well, and the possibility that either Nickey or Berger got a batch of '70 COPO Novas. We have never seen any documented examples, but would not be surprised to eventually find one - they would be barely noticeable, think '68 L79 Novas!

Citrus Copo '70 Nova?
Seeing member Madden's back, I can't help but bring this thread back to life hoping he sees it and responds. Not trying to be a smartazz and only looking for the truth and facts about the rumored Citrus Copo, not holding my breath but do admit I'm secretly hoping it's somehow true? Re: Citrus Copo '70 Nova?
Were the bumper guards a separate option on the Nova by its self or included with a trim option?
