Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
I have seen many, many displays.....I must say that this was by far...the BEST W-Machine display of the BEST Ultra High Quality Oldsmobile`s ever assembled at one place....bar none
When you saw the cars up-close and personal....the beauty and awe was mind blowing. I personally thank each and every owner for bringing these amazing Oldsmobile`s out for all of us to enjoy. THANK YOU! Dan |
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
I viewed the pictures and all I can say is WOW!!!
Hats off to Stefano, Bob Ashton, Charlie Lillard and all involved in assembling the "W Machine" display. If I neglected to give someone credit for the gathering, I apologize. What a show!!! |
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display

Mister!
I am not that old! |
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
What a great display, it's hard to pick a favorite, but possibly the rally red (orange) with white interior 1970 coupe.

Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
Thanks, Stefano!
But I gotta point out that my name is spelled like the Southern California city, with i before e. Paul, I stopped by again and you were not at your car. I am glad you got to see what a cool event it was. BTW, I'm missing a pic or two of W-Machines for the blog - they didn't come out well. If anyone has the red ragtop and white/blue ragtop, it would be cool to use your photos with permission. |

I spent about an hour at that display...AWESOME sauce! I had about 6 pics of the W-Machines turn out blurry. Prolly my pic taking skills. Sorry Diego. Wish I could have helped out. |

Yes, At one point Tom owned all four of the W30 4 speed cars shown, The gold Car now owned by Ken Funk was owned by Tom along with the Red,Black and Azure Blue one.

Hi, Ryan, thanks but those won't do.
|
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
I was truly in awe of this display of W30's. A big thanks to all who participated.

Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
Is/was the black W-30 Conv. you guys are referring to that was owned by Tom Lambeck, the same black car that John Ebbs had? I'm unsure if the car Ebbs' has ever been restored; I think it was a documented car.
|
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
Not sure if Ebbs had a ragtop - I recall a black '72 post coupe - but it was one that was in the magazines almost 30 years ago owned by a guy from the Carolinas named Buddy Holt.
|
Re: MCACN V W-Machine display
No - The black Ebbs car you are referring to is not the same one as the car in the MCACN photos. Also...did the Ebbs car have red stripes?? (can't remember...there were pics of that quonset hut showing a dusty black W30 convert at his place I believe).
Ebbs car was missing one "F" head and/or one red well from what i recall. |
