Mecum auction: 68 L88 sells for 800K!
A new world record for a non raced 68/69 L88 Corvette, amazing. It's nice to see that these cars are getting the respect that they deserve.

Wow! L88's were killers! Never really got the respect that the COPO Camaros and LS6's got.

Re: Mecum auction: 68 L88 sells for 800K!
----My thoughts exactly, Mark!!! Would have been more believeable for an open chamber 69. Great price though on a good car.
----By the way,,,Jack is coming in to Marine city this weekend. Let the games begin!!!!!!!.....Bill S |

I think once you get into a)Tuxedo black, b)L88 and c) roadster, the '68 versus '69 thing goes out the window. |
Re: Mecum auction: 68 L88 sells for 800K!
A 69 is more desirable but since this car is the only black convertible of any of the three years that L88s were made to have its original engine, I think that both buyer and seller should be happy.
