69 Chevelle SS396 Post Sedan
 

Selling my 69 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Post Sedan SS396.
Clean car that looks to have never been in a rust climate. Bottom of car is clean with no rust pits ever. Not frame-off restored.
Original "born with" engine (JA), trans is a replacement M22 4-speed, original 3.55 open rear (KJ).
Car has been repainted the correct silver with lacquer around 1990.
Correct 300 Deluxe style seats, door panels and headliner. Has carpeting right now, but comes with decent used blue rubber flooring like it would have come with new.
Recent reproduction Goodyear bias ply tires, exhaust system, springs, ball joints, control arm bushings, and brakes.

Was that car a California ordered car to get the Smog system for a 396 with 325 HP ?

Or did the 396 325 HP motor come standard with smog.
I know the 1970 applications but not 1969 [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img]

the `69 396/325 engines all came with the smog set-up in the Chevelles, not sure of any other applications that year.

IIRC.....All motors for the Chevelle/Nova/Camaro line in 1969 had smog.

Good luck with the sale Rick....it's a beautiful numbers matching car for the money. It's worth more than your asking price IMO. One of less than 50 known to exist! How many of those with your int/ext combo? Not many.

The 69's with the 325hp 396 only had smog on the manual trans equipped cars.

Bill, Jerry Frailey's Kansas built L78 M21 Chevelle had smog on it. He still has it....just not on the car.

From what I &quot;think&quot; I know, in '68, automatics didn't have smog unless it was from built in CA or going to CA but all manual trans cars had smog.

In '69 all auto and manual trans cars received smog.

If it sells right away on the spring please have the new owner attend NOCC, you will have your black L78 Post Sedan done by then anyways. :bigthumbup:

Good idea to reset the sale, the right buyer was not connecting this time around. (The car is right, just need to find the next caretaker)
