That can't be a real ad at that price.

1969 ZL1?
ZL1 #43 = VIN 124379N615362
Stolen from Hauser Chevrolet PA. Last known, Unrecovered and Vin still registered to Insurance Co. that paid the claim. Discussed here a few times in past threads. Great if it turns out real w/ original body and tags also clear title but if so why only 50 thou for a ZL1 and advertised on Kijiji? ~ Pete |
Re: 1969 ZL1?
Would this be one of the 5 missing cars recently registered to someone in Canada?
|
Re: 1969 ZL1?
The nice couple at that address were surprised when I produced the ad, but wouldn't know a ZL1 Camaro if it drove through there living room. They said someone showed up there last week looking for a couch and dishwasher they were supposed to be selling but they were selling no such items. They called Kijiji who said it was a glitch. When I left they were about to call them again.
The Minnesota tel. number goes right to voice mail. |
Re: 1969 ZL1?
Des
Ungie Phillips street raced against that ZL1 on O'leary avenue in the summer of 1970. The Camaro owner also got beat real bad by Bill Goodyear in his 307 2bbl Nova. Was last seen heading out Thorburn Road towards St. Phillips with the A & W tray still hanging on the side window. I didnt realise the car had been in St. Phillips ever since. I thought it had been stored in the hull of the Kyle in Harbour Grace along with Earles Hemi Charger. Paul Born in Newfoundland and can still tell a good Newfie Joke |

Re: 1969 ZL1?
He spun me quite a story - he had 3 ZL1 engines: an unstamped 1969 vintage piece, the green automatic engine from a detroit ZL1, and 4-speed engine out of a silver ZL1 from , I think, Connecticut
I said why so cheap? he said he was trying to get some fast money for a 1970 Ram Air V Judge he was buying for 250K. when I offered that Pontiac never factory-installed the Ram Air V in any Judge he said - "I can send you the PHS on the car, it says 'factory heavy duty equipment engine'. They built 1 4-speed and one auto." Anyways, he wanted $10,000 in cash before he would show anybody the alleged ZL1 Camaro. If you didn't like what you saw, you get your money back. I thanked him for his time. |
Re: 1969 ZL1?
I believe the insurance co. that paid the claim will own the car if it shows up somewhere and it will be their car to sell, and , it makes me want a Nova 307 w/2 bbl.

Before anyone tries too hard to buy anything from Kathy-Dennis I suggest they read the threads that are linked earlier in this thread. Nothing good can come from this sales pitch. I am removing Restomod and locking this thread.
|
Re: 1969 ZL1?
Also. Ed does not certify COPO's anymore.
