Just a quick note about Holly....
She's at Mayo with some sort of infection. She's had temps as high as 105 and she's on a cooling blanket right now...and we're hoping and praying for the fever to come down. She's at 103 right now and feeling miserable. She's got IV's hooked up with antibiotics, pain meds and other "stuff".

Hi Guys, thanks for the positive energy...going up to the hospital soon...Here's the update from last night/this morning....
Last night was rough, she was on a cooling blanket and had ice bags all around her to try and bring the fever down. She got a severe rash (most likely from the Vancomyacin) so they took her off of that med. They also think that may have contributed to the extended fever? The intensivist from ICU was in the room for most of the late evening Lynn and Holly were able to finally get some sleep starting at about 3am...rest well you two... |

Latest update...Holly got some well needed rest. She's been fever free since about 6am this morning. All of the specialists have been in and are happy with what's going on. Hopefully one of the blood cultures will "GROW" something, so they know what they are dealing with....
Even if no more issues present themselves, we're here for a few days, minimum. They don't want to send us home....only to have to come back. Thanks again for the positive energy. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img] |

Fever only spiked once during the night. She will be able to get into the shower today (with the IV wrapped in plastic to prevent it from getting wet). The blood cultures still haven't grown anything yet. Hopefully, things will continue to progress forward in a positive manner [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img]

We were cleared to get cleaned up. Holly got a shower and got dressed in her "jammies". We're able to walk around the 4th floor with her wireless monitoring and a mask on. She's still got the IV in...as she will need more IV antibiotics this evening.
