'70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
Hello,
I recently talked to someone that has a 70 Yenko in his yard. It has alot of parts missing from the vehicle ( including the sub frame, doors, etc .... ). Its pretty much a shell and with some part(s)( like some wiring, some trim, etc ... ). On the title it says Yenko. Whats it worth as it sits .....??? Thanks for looking and Have a Nice Day .... |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
I sent you a PM.

Titles don't usually have the delivering dealership on them. Get the VIN and trim tag numbers and send them to me or Marlin Spotts, the Deuce Registry dude (send a PM to Yenko Deuce Registry). Should be able to tell you from that info. Good luck.

From the last time I talked to him, the quarters might need to be replaced along with the floors ..... Just want to get a ball park on what something like this is worth ...

Relatively recent Ebay auction of a Gobi Beige, NOM, and I think a non-correct rear end but well documented generally solid car was in the $55K range.

Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
So a shell of this car is what, 5 to 10k ....??? ( and thats not including any kind of sheet metal or drive train. Needs extensive work )

Other factors to consider: desirable color, 4 speed, owner history, documentation

Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
sounds like a re-body candidate? You will be in it for to much when done I bet.

I can't even imagine a non-desirable color Yenko Nova? A lot of people are restoring cars that aren't worth restoring... I'd say this has a better chance than most. Good Luck! |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
Has anyone confirmed that it's even a real Yenko at this point?

Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
Many of the deuce VINS are listed on this site under the Yenko thread, sub title 70 deuce VINs. Not all are there, but it's a start. If all that's there is a shell, it's cool, but not worth a lot of money. The cost to restore it, if you have to hire it done, may likley exceed the finished value at todays prices, and if it's an auto, or less desirable color, even less.
Pics would be nice. Hide the location so nobady can back door you, and maybe we can figure it out. Check the VIN list first. Good luck |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
The most important piece of info to get from the body shell is the trim tag information - primarily the body number. Otherwise, we don't really know what we are talking about here. So, get that info, and let us know - I'll be able to tell you most anything you'd like to know about a Deuce with just that one number.
BTW, certain states did include 'Yenko' on their titles, but it was really due to the owner listing the car as such. Those same states didn't utilize the 'Yenko' reference on other Deuces, so it was more of an owner thing than a state/title thing. |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
Intriguing! Hope the car turns out to be real... and I agree, there are no "undesireable" Yenko colors. Not like you're gonna let one sit and rot because it's the wrong color...or an automatic.

Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
is it a yellow car by chance??

X2 BTW IMHO it would be pretty difficult to get upside down in a DY Yenko Chevelle... |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
Don't hold out on more info of that Chevelle.
I agree, do tell!!! |
Re: '70 Yenko Nova, Whats it worth ....???
That'll buff right out, it's actually a Nova that rusted into a Chevelle.
