I think it looks pretty consistant on all sides as fary as a balanced style, but under the hood kinda seems ho-hum. Almost as if it were a C5 kit car.

It looks like they let the Cadillac guys design it, instead of Corvette guys. Too angular and not voluptuous enough.

too camaros-ish tailights. Shame

I got this in an email.

The front and sides look great and so does interior, but rear needs to be redone.

Re: What? No comments on the new 2014 Corvette?

Everyone I talk to says the same thing. The car looks fine to the back of the door and then they lost it. All they really did with the front was make all the C6 lines more pronounced. A person would have to drive the car to see/feel how the unseen refinements translate into the overall driving experience. The extra hp and torque never hurts. It would take a big effort to make significant improvements on the C6, a car that just seems to do everything well, from comfort to performance to gas mileage. We're certainly happy with ours.

Waiting to see it in person. Camaro-ish. Maybe not a bad thing. Not a huge fan of angles for a 'vette. '74 is my favorite year, so I may have bad taste anyway!

Edit: '74 ragtops I mean.

Re: What? No comments on the new 2014 Corvette?

If you go on Autoblog, you'll see very nice BIG HD pics that really show the new Vette.

I am only mediocre on the red one, but the gray one looks much better.

I don't mind the rear end and those taillights. I had a C5 6 spd convertible, and other than it seemed a little slower than I would have thought, it was killer and got almost 30 mpg on the highway, which to me is amazing.

I like it so far, although unlike everyone else, the front is less appealing to me than the rear for some reason. I want to see it in person to make a full judgment.

And, considering the performance you get from a newer Vette, the price cannot be beat.

I'm going to buy one over sticker as a wise investment and park it next to my 1984 Corvette.

Just as Fugly as the Camaro.
I will be happy to still drive my C5 2002 Corvette.

Re: What? No comments on the new 2014 Corvette?

From the doors forward it looks okay. The rear like many have said was borrowed from a Camaro, which I do not like at all. I guess the daytime running lights will consist of LED's in the headlamp housing like many of the new cars today. What were they thinking with that ugly badge on the front fenders? What does it represent? A stingray??

I'm quite happy with my 08 Z06 thank you.

Dave

Well, I guess I just answered my own question. I took a look at the email link posted by 67rsss
and the badge on the fender represents Stingray since they now call it a Stingray. Didn't know that.

It should have looked like this - this is a computer rendering by some German guy of a Ferrari 612 GTO, a car which I don't think even exists. But it looks more like a Corvette than any Corvette I have seen roll off the assembly line in the last 25 years. Just a gorgeous design... wasted. http://www.beautifullife.info/automo...2-gto-concept/

My thoughts exactly...

The vents in the tops of the quarters look to be functional and I like them.
From low front the car looks 53-55 ish... with the round appearing grille and headlights on the edges.
I hope they make a FRC Hardtop etc...

IMHO The removal of the Alice Cooper Makeup from the taillights would help immensely.

Not wild about it, but I hated the C3 when it hit the street. Ended up owning two of them.

Agreed....just take a look at any of the late 50's to early 60's car styling....individualistic...and interesting.

Now, everything looks like everything else

I really don't care for it. I hate the tailights and from the side it looks like a nissan.
