GM 069 intake,696 alt,365 starter
 

I'm putting a '66 425HP Corvette back together and would appreciate any help in locating a few correct parts. I need an 069 intake, 696 alternator and a 365 starter all dated mid to late May of 1966. All parts must be in VERY nice condition.

UPDATE: I got my alternator and starter...Thanks Dan! Still looking for a really nice 069 Winters intake with a late April thru May of '66 date code.

Whats wrong with the above intake? Its in the date range you asked for and it looks like it has no issues? You won't find a no issues 069 for less than $500 anywhere.

Also Todd, for the level you're trying to achieve here, I suggest having the unit reskinned and checked for cracks before installation anyways. That is standard practice and peace of mind for you!

4/28/66 ?? the intake is dated 4/27/66 and yes I still have it.... a pretty cool date

UPDATE: I got my 069 intake...Thanks Pancho! That was the last part on my list of correct date coded parts I was missing. I'm still looking for a factory black '70 Chevelle SS but if I never find another thing on this site it was still worth the price of admission to find what I needed to finish my Corvette. Thanks to all on here!

Who would you recommend I have re-skin my intake? I've also heard of having them put through a tumbler and was wondering which process will have a more &quot;correct&quot; appearance and stay looking nice the longest?

Reskin it yourself . Its about 4.00. Home depot. Muriatic acid. Wear gloves and glasses and be careful.
