We're out here in lovely SoCal enjoying the cool foggy (and sunny) weather. I went to Cars and Coffee in Irvine, Ca. this morning. I met up with Mark Sheppard and Dave Lindsley at Cars and Coffee. Dave took us to his &quot;man cave&quot; after the cruise and then we went to breakfast after that. Thanks for the great breakfast Dave!! It was great to see you and Mark... Dave just bought this...and it will be his &quot;driver&quot; car...and for a driver it's great! No squeaks, rattles, upgraded to disc brakes...Vintage air...way cool!

Ken it went to a guy in the St Luis area and he loves the the car. It was bitter sweet selling the car because it was by far the best driving and fun to drive Nova I have owned. You build neat cars.

Butzi was the nickname of Porsche's grandson, he designed the 904 in 62 0r 63 I think. There were only about a hundred made with the four cylinder and just a handful with a six or eight through 65 or 66. The 904 was produced only from '64 to '65.

From the 904 that is in the Porsche Museum it differs in the shape of the dashboard, bigger quarter panel scoops, different rims, different exhaust and missing vents (that looks like a scoop) right behind the rear window.

But I can be wrong, don't know if Porsche changed these things during the build time...

There were subtle changes through the 904-6/ 904-8 as the fiberglass bodies were subbed out to contractors, either way I just saw that a couple of companies were making repop 904's so that opens a whole new can of worms.
