69 Big Block Chevy 427 Complete & Awesome
427 Big Block Chevy engine. This engine came to me in a 73 Tahiti jet boat. The engine was rebuilt well under 100 hours ago. It runs very well.
Block Casting: 3963512 Dated L 30 8 (December 30th, 1968) Head Casting: 3931063 L 13 8 and A 7 8(Dec 13th, 68 & Jan 7th, 69) This engine has ARP studs and Crane rocker rockers as shown. I will not know about the internals until I take the engine out of the boat. I am trying to resist taking the boat to the lake since the last thing I need is another boat! Compression Check is as follows: 1) 195 2) 200 3)190 4)190 5)195 6)190 7) 190 8) 185(battery was weak by this point-probably higher) I was told this engine was built by a Nascar engine shop in Sonoma, CA. I do not have any receipts for the build but it is definitely a strong engine. This is a sweet, turn key, carb to pan 427 engine. Great for a resto or hot rod. $3500 For the carb to pan engine minus exhaust manifolds. You can also have the currently registered boat and trailer for an extra $1000. |

The hose you can see hooked up to the exhaust. The exhaust is water cooled so the water goes through the engine and exits through the exhaust.

Wow John,
You must have quite a picture archive. Jason |

Just an old pic you posted on e-bay. I whipped up a piece of cardboard with a hole in the center so I could take pictures of shiny things after I saw your reflection in that tach housing.

Still available. I plan to put it out of the boat after Thanksgiving to pull the pan to show the internals.

I know it's gone now but I sure wish I could have driven out to CA and pulled that whole rig back home with me Jason. I would have a blast with that boat. I've always wanted one of those. Some day.....

Re: 69 Big Block Chevy 427 Complete & Awesome
I kinda wish I would have kept it too Tommy. But the reality is, it would still be in the same place and I would still be talking about getting it in the water. As far as I know, the engine is now in a 67 chevelle and the boat now has the chevelle small block in it and is cruising a lake around Reno, Nevada.
