1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
Very Cool, two owner Corvette.
It was purchased by the second owner in 1979 with 59,000 original miles. It now has 63,000 miles and counting. Original and unrestored. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...dowSticker.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...nersManual.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...lverRed005.jpg |

Original colors and tags?

Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
Thanks Guys. It's a fun car. Even Ashton had an ear to ear grin, rowing through the gears. The window sticker does provide the original colors. This Corvette is original unrestored, its had some changes including maintenence items which have been changed over time, but yes it does have its original tags that have never been tampered with. |

You have a PM

Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
Got it thanks.
The second owner and caretaker of this Corvette was Ralph Salyer. Ralph was a road racer with a very interesting history. His exploits at Daytona coined the phrase "blow the doors off", when he piloted his Bill Thomas Cheetah to extreme triple digit speeds and the doors ripped off the car at speed. They had to be refastened and duct taped to keep them in place. |

Cool stuff indeed! Some serious history there.
NCRS has verified the window sticker and warranty booklet as authentic and original. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey001.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey002.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey007.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey010.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey022.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey041.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...eNickey043.jpg |

That is the NicKey "clutch" proving grounds. Lots of hard launches right outside the shop |

Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
What does the "CE" mean after the engine number?
Verne |
Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
Hey Vern,
I could use some help myself on the abbreviation for "CE". From the past to the present "CE" stands for Chev. Engineering or Counter Exchange, Don't Know. |
Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey

NCRS has verified the window sticker and warranty booklet as authentic and original. </div></div> That is not true!!! NCRS validated the Window sticker - It's my signature. I know. NCRS did not review or validate the warranty booklet. Read the document it says "Window Sticker" That does not mean the warranty book is not authentic it simply, means NCRS does not validate non GM printed/issued items. |
Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
Hello Roy, Thanks for clearing up the info. We certainly didn't intend to have any misinformation about the car. NCRS has only verified the Window sticker / GM printed material. The Nickey Registry, Inc. has verified E.J. Stephani's signature as well as the NicKey dealer info as provided in the warranty booklet as being correct and/or consistent with other similar documents of that era, to the best of our knowledge. |
Re: 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected sold new by Nickey
I had the opportunity to personally spend some quality time behind the wheel of this car, and let me just say, it was like steppping back in time. Nice, tight, rattle free and exceptionally responsive.
Thanks Again Stefano, for allowing me the pleasure! Bashton MCACN Managing Member |
