Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
I'll bet Joe (Brandon) has a copy.....
|
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
very cool picture. I find it interesting, it looks like the one camaro (back of trailer, under the nova) has a black tail panel.
hum.... |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
I think all the Camaros on that trailer have the black tail panel.

I thought all yenkos were copos and did not get a black tail panel. my bad. I guess I remembered wrong. Most non yenko camaro copos I have seen dont have a black tail panel. |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Black tail panels with quarter louvers= X66, 01B cars. Nice even covered in snow. Boy does that picture speak volumes. To turn the clock back and be a part of that history!!

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
And look at the variation in the stripe location on the same "batch" of cars.
|
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Also, that brings up another question. Did Yenko pay the same for the first batch of 50 X66, as the later X44?

Nah I bet he has the Original!!! </div></div> Ha. Actually I think I don't think that one is my photo, but I definitely have a shot of the same truck load of cars, and have that Yenko decal from the door of the transporter truck in the pic. I have all that stuff stored away and haven't even seen those photos myself in a long time. |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Are any of those pictures from you available to view online? I love scrolling through old musclecar pictures!

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
"Soupy" Campbell used to drive that rig for Yenko and had many interesting stories about it as told by Donna Mae

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Awesome shot. I echo the question about the Nova. Is it accounted for?
|
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Not to our knowledge.
|
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Looks like its Fathom green??? And maybe delivered with dog dish hubcaps?
|
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Is this one of the '69 Yenko Novas, not a '70 Deuce?

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
I was thinking Garnet Red. Could it be Kevin Sudam's?
The "MOF" |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Kevin's car was sold from Stauffer Chev in Scranton, PA.

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.

Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Thank you Bruce. This was the load of deuces that dropped off at least one at Rapids. The one coming off the trailor is my SF deuce. While they had a Gobi beige auto, it would not have lit up the back up lights as most were not working on the 1st batch. I tend to think it was on an earlier delivery, or was a hold over from the 1st 125 as mine was a last 50 build.
Anyway, it was this ad, that I cut out of the paper and kept, that lead me to Rapids, and that deuce. I think maybe some of the rest, including another SF deuce went to western IA/NB. You can find them on the Hurst shipping order, and the dates look good. |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
Wow, another VERY cool picture!
Back to the first photo in this thread, is the Nova on the back o' the truck one of the 69's and not a '70 Deuce? Any idea which one? ~ Pete |
Re: Yenkos on the trailer.
The Camaros are the First 50 -69 Yenkos so its a 69 Nova.
