67 Beaumont SD 396 L34 - 4spd
 

Hi Newbie to the site . Just wanted to share a few pics of my rare ride . numbers matching , fully restored , 4spd , 1 of 451 SD( sport Deluxe ) produced ( 259 with L34). I have had this car since 2003 .

Thanks for the welcome and comments guys ! I have had a blast owning and absolute pleasure driving my Beaumont SD .
I was lucky enough to have my ride featured in center spread of july 2009 issue of Muscle car Enthusiast after being spotted at woodword dream cruise. POSTSEDAN good memory, i was at chevelle show niagara falls in 2006.the canadian poncho site and the http:/cdnclassics.chevelles.net site has lots of info on the Beaumont line within GM .

last pic - engine compartment . one interesting fact the chevelle ss 396 came with a Quadrajet carb but all 396s on Beaumonts came with HOLLEY carbs . fire wall , trunck, under carriage all painted body color .

I bought a 67 Chevelle SS 396 new. I must say I like the looks of your car even more. Very nice and rare car you have.

Im not sure on the Beaumonts the 67 Chevelle that I bought new was an early build it had a Holley on it. I think the later builds were all QJs unless of course it was a L78 375 hp.

----Not sure if its germain, but my 67 US made and sold SS396/350 that I bought new had a single inlet Holley......Bill S

L34 350HP got a Holley 4160
L78 375HP got a Holley 4150

Thanks for the clarification VintageMusclecar . I have a question regarding the 396 bigblock and where they where produced in 1967. I understood that all or most where from (T) Tonawanda ny plant however my 396 block vin and GM of Canada documentation states (k) for Mc Kinnon industries St Catharines Ontario . Does anybody know or have a big block from that location ? I know McKinnon did produce blocks for GM . i Checked with GM vintage vehicles division George Zapora and he confirmed it to be correct.

VERY very few 67 BB's came from Mc Kinnon, I have only 1 documented CDN 67 427 Impala SS in my registry with a Mc Kinnon built motor. And to top it off the assembly date on the front pad is dated 6 months before the car was built, this is backed up by the GM of Canada docs.
