Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
Bresee Chevrolet; which sold many high perf. cars back in the day (including Yenkos), was recently purchased buy a multi franchised auto mall. This month the dealership location where this car was sold from is scheduled to close. I believe it was the oldest family owned chevy dealership in Central New York.

Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
Anybody restoring a COPO should kill to own this car just for the parts..Mint as new black carpet that has never been cut, sill plates, dash cluster, dash pad, jack assembly, wiper arms, window stainless, glass, silver grill, mirrors, door handles etc. You could strip this fine ride, load it up with repo crap, sell it and be in the correct mint parts for your car dirt cheap.
I think I hear 200 people screaming......... |
Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
If it only had a BE 12 bolt rear LOL Nice Car

Every unrestored car I have looked at, owned or certified has had a suede finish factory applied on the package tray trim. I'm not sure why there is even a debate on this point... |
Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
Put a ZL1 motor in it and bring it to Barrett Jackson

I think I hear 200 people screaming......... </div></div> I hope this car serves to be a better investment if the new owner leaves it as is. Anybody involved in the hobby should be so lucky as to have this car sitting in their garage as a go-to reference car.... whether you're restoring a COPO or any first generation Camaro, building clones, involved in judging, building or selling reproduction parts, writing reference books, or if you just appreciate looking at the car... and you can drive and enjoy it too! |
Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
beautiful colour/ gut combo. It sure would be a shame to harvest the parts off of it, but I do understand doing it. It would be perfect to have as a reference car and then cruise on Saturday nights.
|
Re: 9800 mile 69 Camaro
Maybe the MCACN Show/Vintage Certification crowd should by the car and use it as a reference display...since the show is only once a year..you guys could take turns driving it the rest of the time...it would probably be tax-deductible
