That car was owned my buddys dad and uncles back in the early `70`s.The car originally was camapined by Sam Gellner in cleveland ohio before my buddys dad bought it.The car sold last year at mecum for $300,000 I beleive.

The first picture is dragway 42 and the second picture is from Thompson Raceway .I believe the car ran a best of 9.60 back in the day in pro stock.

Funny, I dont remember seeing the car back then as I haunted Dragway 42.I used to go down there with an older buddy who raced at 42 whenever the gates were open named Jerry Ferrell. Jerry was one of my heros. He had his basicly stock 63 340hp Vette in the twelves in the summer of 63. No one else was able to pull that off til maybe a year later......Bill S

There is shut on Facebook that goes by the name of buckwheat he has a ton of old drag photos from 42 Thompson and photos from other people that are flat out awsome pictures.
