I think that you meant "where".

The cowl section appears to be left in tact. Why is replacing the firewall a problem? Just asking, Ed

It would appear that the hidden vin near the heater core was cut out and possibly replaced.

yes, I need to learn how to spell. dad is watching the kids and not paying attention to his spelling...while goofing off looking a car stuff.

there is a hidden vin down below in the lower part of the firewall. there is also a new upper cowl section sitting on the floor, likely looking for a home. 3rd row, 3rd picture in. The last 2 pictures in the 3rd show more black in the upper section of the cowl. I would suspect not much of the original cowl is there anymore.

The number is further towards the fender than where they had cut.

Bob,

I could not find this car for sale on Legendary's website. Where did you find it? Ed

This is on their restoration tab on their website. I was not hunting for this, I just was enjoying the restoration pics. I thought that the car was destroyed in this restoration process, but I guess not if they kept the original vin stampings in place (if folks with more experience than I can judge). Makes me glad I am into survivor cars now.

Hard to beat a survivor when you see cars like this. Newer cars today would have a salvage title if treated like this.
