1967 GTO Barn Find
Just purchased a 1967 GTO that has been off of the road since early 80s - same owner and not driven much since 1972. Original engine, trans, and rear. VIN 242177G106XXX. Sold new at Ebersol Pontiac. Medium blue exterior/parchment interior. Very original - never messed with or apart. Decent body. I will post pics when I pick it up later this week.
I'd like to get PHS docs - anybody out there have contact info? |

Oh man, I am jealous.
Nice enough to be cleaned and driven as a survivor? |

Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
Great find, I've been looking for a while with no luck. Congrats!!! Can you give any more info? Is it for sale?
|
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
According to the trim tag: GTO 2 door hardtop, parchment bucket seats, Tyrol blue, soft ray tint (all windows), 4 speed, console, rear seat speaker.
I ordered the PHS report. This car runs & drives sooooo nice. It does need a master cylinder though. I'll put a cheap one on and get the original rebuilt. I'll probably drive it some in the Spring & then sell. Don't want to violate the site policy about "for sale" cars. When it's for sale, I'll list it in the right place. |
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
When I bought this car, the seller gave me a set of 4 - 14" steel wheels with Pontiac poverty caps. He claimed that they were the original wheels. Just wondering if any of you Pontiac gurus know if GTOs came with a base poverty cap wheel. I always see rallys on them.
|
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
Nice score Bergy! Rally 1s and Rally 2s were options in '67. I believe "poverty" caps were standard and look nice on '67s!
|
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
Yes, the dog dish caps were standard on a GTO.
|
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
Thanks - I looked through soooo many pictures of '67s, and I couldn't find any with poverty caps!
|
Re: 1967 GTO Barn Find
Thanks for the info. I'll be looking for in the for sale section when the time comes. Looks like a base engine car?? Lots of people like to upgrade to Rally I's or II's. I like the sleeper look of the caps myself. Nice car, Enjoy it!!

Nice car, love that "just pulled out of grandpa's garage" look. I'd drive the **** out of it!

I've decided that I have plenty of projects. I'd like to find this GTO a good home. $13,500.00 for SYC folks only - before it goes on eBay. PM me if interested. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/o...dowSticker.jpg |
