Scuncio Day 2 COPO
For those that appreciate the day 2 look, I just got this (1970) pic from Adrian Lima's brother.

Very cool!

Re: Scuncio Day 2 COPO
If you notice that car is on jackstands in the front. This is like the pic I told you about that Dean showed me in the early 80's but it was a driverside view with I think his uncle behind the wheel pretending to pull a wheelie. Glad to hear you are getting some of the cars early pics. Phil

Phil,
You're correct. Mario called me Sun & told me that the pic was taken on jack stands...that's the way it appeared to me too. |

Re: Scuncio Day 2 COPO
According to Bob Johnson, Adrian L special ordered this COPO for the L72 Hi Perf unit, 4 speed, Rallye Green color and no radio after wrecking his 428 Cobra Jet Mustang street racing.
He sold it to his brother who parted the Engine & trans then sold it to racers Tom D & Tony P who raced it in Ohio, Canada and all over the NE. It was still racing at E-town when I bought it as a roller. I bought a correct 512/4 bolt engine, 840 heads, a 163 intake and 4346 Holley. It has a narrowed Dana 60 with 4.10 posi. 4 link and coilovers. And, since I have a bad left knee, I had a 700R built for better drivability. I also removed the front half of the roll cage so I could get in & out easier. This copo had it's trim tag removed when it was caged by Tom & Tony. The cowl & dash vin's match and Bob J personally sold it to Adrian & certified it based on the vin #. He also wrote a short letter about it's history. When it was restored, Rallye Green paint was practically everywhere. It needs the interior finished, but otherwise road worthy. Has 1 racing seat, but I have 2 69 Camaro seats that go with it. Needs door panels too, but I did replace the front carpet and steering column with a factory tilt column. Asking $82,500 and may consider partial trade for Camaro/Nova in the 20K range or LSX conversion. I am trying to buy a house, so cash is king. Thanks sYc for the ad space |

Re: Scuncio Day 2 COPO
Dropping the price to $80K and will mention that I was able to buy the original water pump (#3969811 / D 17 9) that the 2nd owner stashed on a shelf. Dash not cut up & still has the orig 4 speed brake pedal too.
There are a lot of cool race pix of it painted black on various websites if you do a search under 'scuncio copo' I'd hate to advertise/auction it on ebay |
Re: Scuncio Day 2 COPO
Dropping the price to 76K-no trades.
Pretty sure this is the least expensive, real deal, race/owner history, running and driving COPO for sale anywhere. I know you would not be disappointed driving it on the street, as i do, or re-prepping to race again I also got Bob Johnson to send me a 2nd Scuncio sold confirmation certificate with his notarized signature. And, although the cowl tag is missing, I believe it is an X11 style trim COPO from the evidence it still retains |
