My Barn Find 69 Camaro
A few photos of my 69 COPO sold on the Ohio River that ended up in a chicken coup for 33 years. Finally put on the ground after two years... Needs a few minor odds and ends like the front bowtie and she is ready

Thanks for the support everyone. Car has original born with engine , M-22 trans and BE rear end. I also have the original Protect-o-Plate. Man . . . . .the paint on that car just looks incredible in those photos and probably looks even better in person! You know, you don't seem to see as many Red COPO's as you might think you would. The Red looks so bitchin' with no rear spoiler.

What event was that Van? </div></div> That is the Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance. It is the longest continual running concours in the USA. I have been going to it sine 1969 as it used to be held on the field of the Elementary and Jr. High schools I graduated from. My son showed the car. We got third place . The GT350H was first and the Olds 442 vert second. I think the fact that one of the tail lights had a bad filament and was flickerign on and off and the XT spare in the trunk with YJ rally's on the car with beat up beauty rings hurt us [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img] My XT's did not get shipped with the car due to a miscommunication and I did not have any show quality trim for the YJs. Given those issues it says a lot that we got third place given the other cars in the class. The 350H did not deserve 1st in my opinion. The one owner 65 tri-power GTO and the 66 Hemi Charger should have been on the podium. The COPO was a nicer car than the 350H. Just look at that trunk fit and finish on the passenger side... sticks up about 3/8". I can't remember, did your car original come with the Rallys, or is it an XT wheel car? Looks good either way, but I'm always a sucker for the XT/dog dishes. Look forward to seeing it in person some days...if I ever make it back to SF for a visit.... |

Thanks for the compliment, I was 19 at the time. BTW, It's colored pencils on illustration board. BTW, I'd sell the 288 GTO and buy a few of Van's Cars... Nice Job on the COPO Van. |
