He did have a passenger in the car who also died.

We complain about the cost of health care and/or a gallon of gasoline yet we (not I) give money freely to support the antics of idiots. One must question what they actually contribute to society that allows them to live in "cribs" and drive a Porsche. I for one will not shed a tear. As for the passenger it sounds like a basic risk assessment might have been in order before getting in that car.

I guess I meant other innocent people on the road ... I was not sure if there was a passenger or not ...

Estimated speed was calc'd to be 130mph. It was stated by the cleanup crew that the remains of the car are the worst ever seen by them.....

Coroner's report listed both 'blunt force trauma' and 'fire' as causes of death because it could not be determined which was the actual cause.

a 911 GT3 should not be in the hands of a drunk, that is a lot of HP car when you are sober, new 911 GT3RS is basically a track car. What a waste...

.196 blood alcohol level, going 130-140 mph and trying to take a turn onto an offramp with alcohol-delayed reaction time.

Once a jackass always a jackass.

Not a very compassionate group, eh?

Before you point fingers remember there are always 3 pointing back at you.

You may not like his line of work or how he made his fortune BUT he is human, and we all make mistakes. Unfortunately his cost him and his passenger their lives.

I am sure if you lost a loved one you would not like to know others were saying things like "I will not shed a tear" or "once a jackass, always a jackass". Comments like that do not say much about you.... or they say a lot. depends which way you want to look at it.

Seemed like a decent/funny guy. Stupid decision, but most of us have driven impaired in one way or another.

I hope he and his passenger Rest In Peace. I hate to see anyone get killed, even if he did it himself.

My comment was an observation of the actual facts. No opinion. Sadly, two people died. May they rest in peace.

It is rare that you actually see a photo that so plainly shows just how someone's reaction time is impaired by alcohol, i.e. their ability to judge when to turn. It is displayed so simply by those tire marks in the road.

with the traction control and ABS I would have to imagine this car was in a sideways slide to put down those tracks

regardless, as stated, no car for the impaired and the "novice" driver

Hard to have compassion when idiots like this often take the lives of innocent people. We can't do enough to keep irresponsible off the road. Remember that the next time you see someone with kids roaming freely in a moving auromobile.

My wife's brother lives in the area not too far from the crash site. When I first heard of the accident, I thought perhaps he may have swerved to avoid a deer as the area is absoutely overrun with them. The photo sure looks like he probably just didn't negotiate the exit ramp. Yikes.

Each time we go to visit her brother, we pass the antique shop on Route 1 that reportely was Jungle Jim Liberman's residence at one time.

Before I read the news story about the crash, I too had never heard of the guy. Apparently, "popular culture" has passed me by. . . I'm OK with that . . .

Doesn't mean they're right. All three could be even bigger horses-asses than the guy in the Porsche. Just sayin.

Really it's more about respect and compassion for the family. Let's not forget they lost a loved one. I doubt they would find some of these comments comforting. My kids are fans of that series of movies and TV shows. I don't care for it myself, but no matter, I still don't like to see/hear things like this. Oh yeah...he was also a veteran of the greatest nation in the world and found a way to make a living after his honorable discharge with his close friends.
