Re: Hugger Orange 70 Nova SS350
Looks nice. H/O was not a special order color in 70. It was a spring offering RPO. There were no original Hurst shifters in Novas other than deuces.
Good looking car. |
Re: Hugger Orange 70 Nova SS350
Cool looking car.. I like to see original small block 350 SS cars... I don't like the body side molding.. I saw just a few little, very minor things that deviated from original: Like Ken said the Hurst stick is incorrect, the clutch and brake pedals should have the bright metal trim on them, maybe they were replaced at one time. The headlight bezels look like they were replaced and the master cylinder was replaced. The tires should be white striped instead of raised white lettered..
Car looks really nice though, and not bad for the $$$ compared to what else is out there for the same dough... I like it!! Rich |

Thanks for the input, gents I was mainly interested to see if anyone had any personal knowledge on past history and/or previous owners of this vehicle. Many times the wealth of knowledge on this site is just incredible, so you never know. My first car was a brand new Hugger orange 70 Nova, hence my interest

Dig the double white stripes and it still even has the original window sticker in the window! Bill...... http://i.imgur.com/15Vdm.png |

Couple of detail items as mentioned An upgrade is the LT-1 valve covers. Although they look nicer than the plain orange steel ones. Was the warmup tube used on the 4 speed cars? Me thinks this car may have had headers at one time and maybe the manifolds & air cleaner was replaced with the auto trans style ??? |
Re: Hugger Orange 70 Nova SS350
That's the one, Frank....has the same body side molding as the one currently for sale. That picture was taken by my dad right after I drove it home from Egizio Chevy-Olds on Ogden Ave. in Naperville, IL in June of 1970.

No such luck, Rick. Only have that picture and another virtually identical one except that my youngest brother and one of the neighbor kids were also in the picture. Sure wish I woulda had a picture about two weeks later when the rally wheels and whitewalls were tossed in favor of Keystone mags (very similar to American Torque-Thrusts) and blackwalls....the car looked really nice with them on. 5 months later I sold it....not fast enough....
