Congrats to Sam (Mockingbird812) and Schoeny!
 

Congrats on the awesome cover and feature story in the new issue of HMM. The cover alone is worth the price of admission and the story inside is as cool as the car and the owner.

The "Roof Deuce" is an amazing car with a great story and it is great to see both Sam and Schoenthaler Restorations getting some well deserved ink. Great to see real "Day 2" mods being recognized also.

Oh...and the mention of MCACN doesn't hurt either! lol

Couldn't have asked for a better owner. Glad he passed on the Moses deuce! This car was definitly one for Sam! Above and beyond with the day2 items. CONGRATS!!! Well deserved ink!

Sam, make no mistake that we are very excited about the coverage. I'm just never comfortable about tooting my own horn. We're little guys who have been very fortunate to have been given a chance to work on some of the coolest cars, owned by some of the best people in the collector car business. Some one who hasn't been mentioned here that deserves mention is Steve Sandlin. Had Steve not started the process with Earl, and Linda, we wouldn't be having this conversation today. So congratulations here goes very deep.

So, thank you all for the congrats, but the applause starts with the Roof's and goes all the way through the people who owned, and worked on the car, through the SYC and Mr. Ashton and the MCACN show.

Besides, I can't really say to much, because MY COPY HASN'T SHOWN UP YET.

Eddie M. (enio45) was driving the van that Jeff K. was shooting the Deuce from. So I was reviewing my Emergency Procedures (think: walk and chew gum at the same time)....just in case!!

I also am having trouble finding a copy. Closest place I can find is the Barnes and Noble in Greensburg but they don't have the new issue yet. Made them promise to call me as soon as it comes in. Even skipped out of my retirement luncheon early today so I could try to track a copy down!! Yep officially retired from IRMC as of today!
