Is this a COPO or is it staged?
|
Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Manual brakes, Daytona Yellow drivers fender w. 327 emblem, no hole in trans tunnel for manual shift, 120 speedo, original olympic gold w. vinyl top.

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
could be, no pictures or mention of the rear end
front end pieces are a hodge podge, not unusual manual brakes COULD be from it being an old drag car, most "serious" drag cars from back then were converted to drums ... |
Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Darn good possibility it could be but I believe the guy is fishing. I had a friend check his info and there is a suspected COPO within 15 body numbers of this one. It is an X11D80 though, but the same build week of 06A. Couldn't have been a 327 car as it was already phased out by the 307. The 307 & 350 2bbl engines used the same 3/8" fuel line as the solid lifter engines so who knows without a close inspection by someone like Jerry to know what it really is.

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Picture is a little dark but there is a good shot of the wire harness block on the firewall and I do not see a piercing for the ZL2 Hood harness. Also that BB heater box looks a whole lot more weathered than the firewall

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Thats not a big deal....he can drill/punch it out for you : )
The throttle arm also looks to be a NON ZL2 arm. I know they are bolt ons but they are not usually changed out. How about a picture of the rear frame rail dual exhaust reinforesment? |
Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
They're usually not changed out because it's a pain in the a$$.
Stephano, see you in AZ! First beer is on me, Ed |

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Bruce, Dennis and I are bringing a car to Russo and Steele.
Stephano, Wherever you want to go. I got you covered! |
Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
When I compare the forming of the gas line in the pic to a solid lifter BB original there are a lot of differances. Looks to me like it is a custom bent line.

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
Bruce, It would be great if you came along. It would give us a chance to finally sit down and talk. See you in about a month, Ed

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
I've got credentials for both auctions. Sounds like a plan Ed!

Re: Is this a COPO or is it staged?
I wouldn't put too much stock into the single fuel line alone on a 69 Camaro. Only the L48, L34, and L35 had dual lines.
6cyl, 307, lo-po 350, and solid-lifter cars all had the single 3/8" |

Can't tell if there is a hole or not but the rust on the heater box does look a little fresher. |
