Seatbelts work in roll-over.
Mike fell asleep on the way home last night and wound up rolling my truck. Air bags did not deploy but use of seat belts prevented any injuries.
Thank God nobody was hurt. |

Re: Seatbelts work in roll-over.
Chris,
Give the boy a big hug and let him know you're glad he's OK. (You can kick his butt later, although he's probably doing a pretty good job on himself right now! ) Sorry to hear about the crash, but we all know what's really important. |

Re: Seatbelts work in roll-over.
Drove it home with flats last night. Aired it up and checked the fluids this morning. Drove to Safelite Auto glass but the guy said the doors were too bent to put in new glass and the A pillars bent also prohibiting new windshield. Drove it to body shop where they figured the repair will probably be more than the value.
My car guy told me that squished roof usually means it will be totaled. That sucks, but again it is a miracle he wasn't hurt. What's that Chevy truck slogan ? |
Re: Seatbelts work in roll-over.
----In Massachusetts any car or truck with roof damage that includes doors opening and closing as well as pillar damage is totaled. No questions, do not pass go, you are done! I fully realize that you arent from Mass, but think this is a fascinating factoid. Anywhere else have this rule???.....Bill S

Re: Seatbelts work in roll-over.
It has been implied by my salesman that that is the standard here also. I do not know if it is law, but I'll find out.

Chevy Tough! Is that a Dale Earnhardt emblem on the tailgate? If so, it looks at home!
Glad you didn't get hurt. Kurt |
