Dan/Jody, thanks for posting/sharing the pictures. Nice detail work! Is this the 396/Turbo 4 door that was on eBay a few years ago? If I recall correctly it had the build sheet. Looking forward to seeing more pictures as the car progresses!

Right, I was going off memory of the ebay auction several years ago as the picture above isn't of the actual car being restored. It's from a movie called Hell on Wheels which came out in 1967.

Re: 1966 Biscayne COPO Project

I've got a question:

Why would a cop car be a COPO? I understand that cop cars are considered to be part of fleets, but every other manufacturer offered cop cars and no one uses any other distinction other than "cop car" while here it seems to be a "COPO" - why?

I assume this car had a 396/325?

Re: 1966 Biscayne COPO Project

The Central Office Production Order (COPO) was actually ued to order vehicles such as police cars, meter maid vehicles, etc. It was the clever others who hijacked the process for what we associate it with today. One statement that I remember "the COPO process was used to create some of the most mundane vehicles in existance, as well as some of the wildest"

I would like to know what you painted your frame, rear end and brake drums with on the biscayne, or what else would you recommend.
Thanks Dennis
