37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
First off........No one mention 1 of 1, L-89, 074's or anything else in reference to that thread and we will be able bring this thread to a final conclusion........With that said, as I remember we were at about this point in the construction when the other thread was interupted....
The chassis was at about this point so I will bring everyone up to where we are now..... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00827.jpg Got all the Brake lines in and the system is bled and operational http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00849.jpg E-Brakes are also installed and working......... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00821.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00846.jpg Also.....got the fuel system completed.....It's a GTO fuel pump built into the 37 tank.....the GTO Pump assy is a single line design, thats why there isn't a return line http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...DSC00900-1.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...DSC00902-1.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00899.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00896.jpg Ken |

Re: 37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
Now we get into the interesting stuff.........Things that "Spark" if they aren't assembled correctly.....LOL....Got all the factory computer harnesses modified by Speartech in Indiana....opened the box and got goosebumps.........With the excellent diagram and instructions, in about 15 minutes everything was plugged in.....Well almost.....
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00981.jpg Gotta find a place for all this stuff... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00986.jpg Ken |

Re: 37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
Very nice progress on the "rod". It will be nice to see it to completion. Are you going through the Quad cities on the way to Newton for the start of the tour? If so, start early and we'll have eats at the "Shed".
Good to have you back....and I don't say that to very many Republicans. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |
Re: 37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
Enjoy to see you back, Ken.

Re: 37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
Things are already getting better. It just works so well with Ken's posts and everyone's great observations from this site. The step by step workmanship of this car makes me check in everyday. Ken could sell advertising to go along with the progress.

Re: 37 Ford LS2 Continuation thread
Today's projects were to put Gas in the tank and get the fuel pump working, pressurize the system and check for leaks before putting the body on.....Got it powered up and found out immediately that tight is not tight at 60psi....Tightened everything again.....and got all the leaks taken care of......Glad I did that before the body was on........
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00997.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC00998.jpg I also got the exhaust system installed, just need to finish the ends of the tailpipes after the body is on to final fit.... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC01000.jpg Also.......It was hard enough learning about all the #'s "Stuff"......Now.....I gotta learn about this Computer Crap........Picked up my O2 sensors (Computer talk) today....You Numbers guy's and Muscle car guy's out there might not know what a oxygen sensors are......LOL..... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC01001.jpg Ken |

Before we get started today I have to say one thing to a couple of members here that are Bashing this thread.....#1 I'm not building a "Riddler" award car, #2...If you don't like it, don't visit this thread, #3....Go bolt together your store bought parts......With that said......Spent the day getting the wiring and vacuum lines straightened out and finished up and I also picked up the body and rear fenders........
