Help IDing some wheels please

I find no casting or stampings on these wheels. Chevy 4 and 3/4 bolt pattern, 14x6 pair and 15x6 pair, each with a 3 inch back spacing. Any help is appreciated. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Sam, I don't have a clue, https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif but those are great looking wheels. What are they going on?

The ones with the bigger flange look like some "Crestlines" that I have.

Re: Help IDing some wheels please

I think the ones with 'JAPAN' cast on the back are Appliance.

Thanks for inputs so far fellas. Whatcha seein' there Tony? I am in process of buying these wheels so I do not have them in front of me, but can not see the "made in Japan" cast?

Anyone else have an idea on the make of these wheels? Probably 2 different manufacturers. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: Help IDing some wheels please

The 15" ones do look like Appliance wheels I have seen. Both on the back side and the way the lugs are is. I've heard the Appliance wheels were made in Japan and should have that cast into them. I would look them over closely for the Japan cast.

Certainly two different manufacturer's and two different styles of lugs.

Take a look at this web-site. Lots of wheel info there.

Re: Help IDing some wheels please

American Torq Thrust knock-offs. Nice peaked spoke wheels like the Original TTs. I have a couple of pairs of knock-off wheels but no set of four that match. I DO have six original TTs, all are 14x7s.
One of my non TT wheels is very similar to those 15s. I haven't found any markings that indicate a manufacturer.
If you search through the thread here you'll soon see how difficult it is to pin down a certain wheel if it doesn't have the manufacturer's name cast into it.
BTW, I'd snap them up if they're even remotely reasonable. I'm not extra-wild about the wide flange on the 14s but those 15s are sweet! Get rid of the glossy gray paint and they'll look great.

Sam,
Next to last picture; bottom of the wheel "JAPAN".

Yep DC, I got my eyes to focus on that "Japan". These are back in Pgh so My sis will have to pick them up for me. Then off for restoration.

Thanks to Pete for the heads up! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

They are actually pretty easy to restore if you have a nice cabinet blaster.

OK, now I think you guys are just making stuff up to make us old guys believe we are blind. Or, maybe I am blind. All caps? Upside down? Next to last pic, correct? I can't see any letters or numbers.

Sand paper, 80, 120, 180 grit sanding stones from McMaster Carr, and a pair of jackstands. It sounds hackish but it works.
