1969 Corvette trim color over ride
 

I picked up what I thought was a nice driver Corvette it was Lemans blue with blak tucked interior with some red showing here and there in the interior. I bought it from the third owner and was told it was originally a red red car someone did a color change to. This is a very original car when I got it home I started looking and seen the car was always Lemans blue so I checked the trim tag it showed lemans blue ext with a red interior. I did some research and found out that couldnt be possible so I pulled the tank down and found the tank sticker lemans blue with red interior, the sticker stated trim and color over ride but more strange than that it also stated export prep =2,export tire tax and tax sustanable. any body ever here of this.

Anything was possible in 69. The color combos in the literature were recommended.

BACK SERVAL YEARS AGO IN ONE OF MY VETTE MAGAZINES THEY SHOULD A 69 THAT WAS ORDERED WITH LEMAS BLUE RXT AND RED INT IT WAS GREAT LOOKING SO YES IT WAS POSSIBLE

When I was a kid I recall seeing a dark blue 1970 LT1 Corvette that had red interior; not the nicest color combination IMO.

The reason I said it was not available in that color combo was if it was why would the tank sticker say paint and trim over ride.

If you look in the color tables, it won't be a recommended color combo. Hence the override.

Much earlier car but there was a Daytona Blue/Red Interior '63 Split Window in my hometown. I always thought it was odd but the original owner had the docs to prove it was a factory option.

Looks like it might not take much to get it back to red. Hopefully the original covers are in good condition.

here is a 57 vette (big brake fuelie) with similar combo. I always liked this 57 because of its cool colors.

Finally finished the interior it was a lot harder than I thought. Hopefully going to bring it to Pheasant Run to put in the for sale car corral. It actually looks better than I thought

Very cool! Looks like a nice job. I hope it goes well for you in the corral-make sure you show copies of that build sheet to shut up the naysayers.

Might want to put in correct tail light lenses before the show...
