MCACN leftovers
I was having an equipment malfunction with my camera flash so this will be brief.
First off, the only car with flames that caught my eye. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/HPIM4698.jpg I was lucky enough to find Mr.Cumby while he was enjoying one of Darren's culinary treats. He took time out to introduce me to The First Lady of Donahue. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/HPIM4787.jpg The Mayor was always busy judging and I failed to say hello. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/HPIM4701.jpg |
Re: MCACN leftovers
I was able to chat with Tom a couple of times, he said he was still looking forward to driving 2010 Yenko for the first time with the new power plant. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Re: MCACN leftovers
This stinger hood caught my eye, a 67 Chevelle L88 converted by the original and only owner. Nice job.

Re: MCACN leftovers
Obviously this was the highlight of the show. Even if my flash was working properly it could not capture what it was like standing next to this masterpiece.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/HPIM4759.jpg http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/HPIM4764.jpg The only thing this car was missing was a little soot inside the exhaust! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif |

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif Somebody said there was a Corvair show here last week and when it was over several of them would not start so they got pushed into this corner to wait for the wrecker. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

I really spent more time trying hunt down other sYc members rather than checking out the cars. It was great to meet you and Ken T and even Charlie was very pleasant. I said hi to Darren and he handed me lunch and I never saw him again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif The Mayor and Stefano were very busy looking (loved that Nickey display), same with the SCW guys. The show really needs two days to check out and several hours to decompress afterwards. I don't recommend my plan (6 hrs at show/13 hrs traveling). From the moment I walked in the front door and was greeted by Marty Schorr (thanks for those passes by the way https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif) until the cab back to the airport, this was an experience I will never forget. To have my son come along and see these cars and meet you guys was just icing on the cake. Bob A. = AWESOME https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif I can't thank you all enough for the warm welcome. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ouguysrock.gif |

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif Well now you know. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
C'mon back to the Gibb Show in August and the SCR in September, then stick around for the 2nd Annual MCACN. That oughta fill your senses for a while, and you'll still be home in time for Turkey! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif Thanks for stopping to chat. Hope our Midwest manwoman didn't scare you off. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |

Is that really a factory tach with an adjustable redline pointer in that truck?

Re: MCACN leftovers
I had spoken to the owner and he mentioned the restoration shop told him the back of the instrument cluster said something like "Chevrolet Engineering"...I love that truck.

[/ QUOTE ] I can tell you right know that the truck is NO MISH MOSH of parts or as stated else where on the site by a memeber an "Interesting hodge podge of parts". Grow up ,every piece on the truck is GM and extremely well done. The current owner of the truck stated that two weeks ago at a well attended event it scored 995 out of 1000 points. Maybe some of you should stop stroking each others ego and leave the jealousy at home. Quik9r |

Yes..GM, and very well done, but are they factory original to that truck? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: MCACN leftovers
Did anyone happen to get the guys name who owned the truck? I believe it was Mr. Brewer. We are restoring the identical one and I could use some information.
Thanks! |

However a 6' C10 Camper special with a 409 raises a few eyebrows. Who built it? |
