Re: PSMCDR
Some of the below is from memory, which assures it's wrong! LOL!!
#1 - Julie Pennington, '69 L88 Vette 11.74 #2 - Terry Pennington, '69 ZL1 Camaro 11.77 #3 - Jim Johnston, L88 Vette 11.80 #4 - Larry Weymouth, L88 Vette 11.81 #5 - Rick Mahoney, '68 RAII Bird 11.85 #6 - Bob Karakashian, '70 Hemi Cuda 11.90(?) #7 - Mark Weymouth, '71 LS6 Vette 11.95 #8 - Rob Clary, Yenko Camaro 12.05 #9 - Jim Spetzman, 440-6 Bee 12.06 #10 - Paul Petco, 440-6 Chalenger 12.07 Another notable is Jim Lerum's '70 LS6, which went a 12.28 @ 114...I *believe* that might be the second quickest 4-speed car at Stanton? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |
Re: PSMCDR
Is Terry's ET of 11;72 a PSMCDR record ET?Chris

Is Terry's ET of 11;72 a PSMCDR record ET?Chris [/ QUOTE ] It *might* be for Stanton, but not overall I don't think. The Yellow Sub is out of eleminations...sounds like a rod and/or main let loose...crying shame, as the air is killer today. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif |

Is Terry's ET of 11.72 a PSMCDR record ET? Chris [/ QUOTE ] Chris, 11.72 might be a record low e.t. for a ZL1 Camaro at Stanton, but Julie has the all time PSMCDR low e.t. record with her L88 Corvette at 11.54 set a couple of years ago. She set the meets low e.t. today with a 11.61 late during the runoffs. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif |
Re: PSMCDR
your right john,i couldn;t remember if Julie 11;54 pass was at the PSMCDR or not.thanks, chris

Re: PSMCDR

Re: PSMCDR
My best pass of the weekend was a 12.21 @ 115.32. The motor still loves 40* of timing. On a good day I think it should.............I'll just keep my pie hole shut.
Thanks for the cudooo's though. I'm just happy that we posted numbers that the 70 LS-6 is capable of. I don't want to make it a slap to anyone because Tim Clary myself and others have worked very hard to go fast. As I told Tim C., the victory is that the car deserves better as I'm afraid people were starting to think they were over-rated. We just see very few automatic trans in LS-6 cars. On the reverse I know of only 1 440-6 Mopar with a 4 speed. For those wondering about the combo, it's a close ratio M-22 with a 4.33 gear. Yes, we are using the Crane Blueprint 143 camshaft.! I'm waiting for the flaming arrows........YOU CHEATER!!!!! Jim |
Re: PSMCDR
LOL...it dawned on me as I walking away from the trailer, I forgot Ken! Another L72 car, of all things!! And a KILLER one at that...he ended up going a 12.07 @ 117+ during eliminations! Rowing the gears and pulling away... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif
Don't know how bad the Sub's hurt yet...just rolled it into it's spot in the shop and shut off the lights...nothing blew apart, so hopefully won't be too bad. Gotta build a playhouse for my daughter before I can tear into this week... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |
Re: PSMCDR
Hey, I heard that Ken went 118+ during the shoot out. That thing is humping big time. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif He thought it was an extra mph do to the air but it went like this for density altitude.

Re: PSMCDR
Jim, congrats on the best time!!!
Rob, sorry to hear about the yellow sub!!! My car ran a best at one of these events. I went 13.39 @ 103.6 losing first round of my shootout to Mr. Brass. Even though I lost the first round, I did not lose the shootout. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif |
Re: PSMCDR

Makes that long haul worth while, and all those miles roll by faster. Another notable is Tom Payne's car going a 12.92 @ 109(?!)...for those that don't know, that was his little blue Chevy II strutting it's stuff at Collinsville a few weeks ago. Congrats, y'all... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
