I am happy to say that finally after years of wanting to go to this show, Vicki and I will be able to attend. I am sure that this will be a highlight of the summer for us.

And don't forget; this is the kick-off for the TRIPLE ACES award, which culminates at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals!

We've got our hotel reservation and are actually looking forward to the 1200 mile trek. Can't wait to enjoy the show and see all the good car folks.

For what it's worth, as of Monday night at 7 PM there were still a few rooms available at the new AmericInn at the North end of Monmouth. Nice place with plenty of parking and easy trailer access. 309-734-9958

It's legal to own a 45. To carry, you need a concealed weapon permit from the sherrif's dept in your county. It's not a difficult permit to get if you have no issues. It's good for IA. only.

We just lost a vote last week in the US Senate that would have given reciprocity for concealed carry permits nationwide. 58 senators voted yes...this only missed by 2 votes!!!
