I think it's really neat. I've been dying to see the "Rat Rod" phenomenon combined with Sixties and early Seventies Musclecars into ONE very cool category! I'm workin' on one myself currently.....let me be the first to coin the term "Rat Muscle"!

This car drove around the Davenport area a few years back. It is definetly a cool unrestored car. Dad can correct if i'm wrong but I think this was the Sioux City car. It was a 4 speed. Kidder chevrolet maybe?
I think this is the same guy that bought Jude Hettick's tripoli turquois gibb nova.

Is that Marsha's old car? If so there is a good years old thread somewhere in the bowels of this forum all about it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Re: Deuce Survivor

It's Marsha's car, she bought it new along with her girlfriend who bought a silver one new. A forest green deuce was also sold by Kidder-Knoefler, but the owner center-punched a tree with it; so the story goes. The oil guy in NY owns the Marsha car now, neat piece of history.

Brian,

The blue Conner deuce from IN was still titled as active on 9/15/77, so it could have been wrecked within 2 weeks of purchase but it was still cruising around till at least '77. This is a familiar story with deuces, many were wrecked early on - as they can get away from you pretty quick ( https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif ), but many lived on for a brighter day - usually without stripes https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

You ain't kidding Ken.
I'm amazed how much that car has aged, based on these photos taken 3 years prior.

I have several original window stickers for Deuces - you'd be surprised at the differences, and even bigger diff's vs. the '69's. The owner of the car goes by 'yenkobart' on this site if my memory is any good.

It looks artificially aged to me.You can almost see the smear marks where something was rubbed on IMO.

Re: Deuce Survivor

A lot of times the smears and runs are from shoe polish that is wiped onto the cracked stripes to fill them in. Once it gets a little wet, you get.....
