1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
I am selling my 1970 LS5 Coupe for $50,000. The car was purchased new from Phil Joseph Chevrolet in Winsted, Conn. The original owner ordered the car to his personal specs: Cortez Silver, Black Leather, LS5 454-390hp, M21, Power Windows, AM/FM Pushbutton Stereo Radio, 3.70 posi, White Stripe tires. He babied the car for the next 13 years and only put 21,000 miles on it. In 1983, he decided to sell it and began "interviewing" potential buyers. The second owner was interviewed 4 times before finally being given the OK to buy the car. He owned the car until last summer when I purchased it from him. He was an extremely fussy owner also and put just 8,000 miles on the car in 25 years. In fact, he was so picky that in 1993 he decided that he wanted the car to be "perfect" so he had the car frame-off restored! This was really a shame as the photo history shows the car was an absolutely beautiful unrestored car before he had this work done. You can even clearly read the frame stencil on the pre-restoration pics. Regardless, the car came out gorgeous and looks as good today as it did the day it was restored. Obviously, these two previous owners also took good care of the paperwork from the car. I have the original window sticker, POP, owner's manual, all resto receipts, titles, registrations, and a complete photo history of the restoration. And of course the car is completely numbers matching with the "born-with" drivetrain. This is not your run of the mill Corvette that lead a rough life and was brought back to life. This car has always been gorgeous and lovingly maintained. It has always been absolutely rust free. If you see the car in person you will know exactly what I mean! This is a Duntov quality Corvette and one of the best '70's I have ever seen...

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
I will consider a possible trade/partial trade for a Chevelle or Camaro. Thanks https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Thanks Paul! It really is sweet. I've had 3 trade offers so far, but nothing that I'm interested in yet. Wish your old '68 Z was being offered...I'd be all over that deal https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Take care, Mark

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Nothing interesting yet for trades....so, $47,500.

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
I have a line on a '67 L78 Camaro that I like, so the Corvette is going on ebay later this week for those interested. Reserve is going to be $42K...which is $5,400 less than I have in the car (with receipts https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif ). This is a no excuse car that couldn't be restored to this level for the asking price!

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Are you looking to trade up or down or whatever?
|
Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
At this price I am looking for a cash sale, but I will consider all trade offers as long as they are priced realisticly for today's market.

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
before jumping on ebay,i would consider marketing this car on Craigslist for a week in major metro areas of the country(LA,NYC,Orlando).
if no inquiries, just delete the ad. some friends and myself had pretty good luck with this. just put a phone # in the listing,no email best of all,it's free |
Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Richard, I got your PM regarding the car. However, your PM box is full so I can't send my phone number...

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
I'm with you - if I really want to sell a car at that level, $1K isn't enough for me to walk away from the sale.....

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Anyone who knows these cars and has seen this one thinks it's worth $45K even in this market and I agree with that price. I'm willing to go to $42k to facilitate a quick sale, but not a penny less. We all have our walk-away number and that's mine.
It's tempting to drive it this weekend...I was just out in the garage cleaning my Z06 and the silver car was just sparkling! The market it still pretty tough right now and I think $42K is a great price for this particular car. I don't need to sell, so I'm not giving it away. And the wife was just giving me grief that I was selling too cheap at $42K so I know that I won't hear any arguements from her if it doesn't sell https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
I'd walk away too. Both your offers are from the same person who has zero feedback history on E Bay.
|
Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Actually, I only counted his offers as one...there was another offer via an ebay question and subsequent phone call.

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Deposit received...car is staying in Ontario https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 1970 LS5 Corvette For Sale
Thanks guys. I knew the first person who actually saw the car would buy it. Heck, he didn't even want to drive it!
As for the Camaro, no deal yet...but my figners are crossed https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif |
