69 camaro front wheel well undercoating?

Does anyone know if they sprayed undercoating on the inside of the front wheel wells? This info would be for a 01d LA built camaro coupe. Thanks John

Don't know about LA cars, but my Norwood 08A (of 69) had a big "swath" sprayed inside each one.

My June built Norwood Z has the entire wheel well sprayed and the same with the rears.

Is there a recommended spray bomb undercoating product that closely replicates the original?

This is what I use. You will need to borrow a gun to shoot it. Will be somewhat close to original. You probably will not find anything in a rattle can with enough texture to it.

Hope we hear from Brian and Shauger on this subject.

I would be very surprised to find that front wheel liner undercoat in any amount was standard ???????

The 70-73 Camaros (both mfg plants) did not recieve ANY front undercoat......!!!!

None on the front of my 28K mile Z/28 and just a couple inch wide stripe on the rear wheelhouse seams.

They all had it; the application is described in the Assembly Manual. Did not adhere well but the bolts/washers retaining the inner fender to the fender brace are usually still covered.

Re: 69 camaro front wheel well undercoating?

Both the front and rear wheel well were sprayed, although the front wells were lightly sprayed compared to the rear.

My car had undercoating in the rear wells and also it was sprayed in select areas along the rear frame rails, underside and side of trunk. It was pretty thick in the rear wells. The original color of the car was under the undercoating.
